Well, what can I say?

There have been numerous threads about a lack of decent team play and anything other than zerging by the realm of Albion. There has also been a lot said about the lack of "courage" among the people of Albion to take on superiour numbers.

Last night in Caledonia, I think we proved that for a least some of Albion, this is not true..

I noticed that a friend from my guild was in Caledonia, and I messaged him to see if there was any action. He let me know that there was just two wizards and a scout from the realm of Albion, and they were outnumbered five to two. As I always try to do, I offered my services as a cleric to aid their fight against the enemy, he accepted gladly.

I ran as quickly as I could across the countryside surrounding the mighty city of Camelot, to our portal keep. I unfortunately missed the first arrival of our master visor and had to wait, while I did so I listened keenly to information of the Hibernian intruders in Caledonia who were growing in numbers, and keeping my fellow Albion brothers confined to the portal keep. By the time I arrived, courtesy of the magic of our master elementalists, the situation looked bleak indeed. There were seven of the enemy realm keeping us confined to the slopes of our portal keep. As best I could tell there were 2 Lurikeens, 3 Elfs, and 2 Celts. However, we were not to be deterred, I used the skills I had learned during my rise through the ranks of the Church of Albion to enhance my Albion brothers abilities. The mood of our small band thus enhanced as the spiritual magic flowed through our bodies we decided one thing - the warriors from the realm of Hibernia must not be victorious.

Both sides postured on the slopes surrounding the Albion portal keep, trying to gauge the strengths and weaknesses of the opposition. When it came to the battle this would be the key to life or death. A few bolts were fired by both sides, and despite my best efforts of healing, on of our wizards was killed. However in the skirmish we were able to kill two of the enemy. Fortunately I was able to resurrect our fallen brother, and after rest we were ready to fight once more, they would pay for killing one of my brothers.

In the aftermath of the fight, we were able to identify the enemy member who was responsible for resurrecting his fallen comrades. This information would prove crucial to our victory. One of the enemy strayed too close to the portal keep and was cut down by the master wizards who defend it. This was our chance; we rushed forwards to take down the healer while he was attempting to resurrect his colleague. The attack was successful, and with their only source of resurrection lying dead on the floor, we could feel the enemy moral dropping.

We moved forward to consolidate our position, bolts of fire flying into the enemy as both are casters showed no mercy to our sworn enemy. Our scout, as well as providing valuable information took out two of the enemy with stunningly accurate shots from her bow. We were pushed back several times by a determined foe, by their efforts were in vain, gradually their numbers dwindled until only 2 remained. We moved quickly forward to finish the battle, and were just in time to spot a new enemy who was trying to resurrect the fallen from behind a hill. We were just in time to finish him off before more people could be called upon to fight. The last member of the enemy refused to go down without a fight, and came close to killing one of my brothers, but some quick healing, a few arrows and a fire bolt later the battle was over. We were standing exhausted but victorious over the bodies of our enemy, we were but few, and the enemy put up a brave battle, but with courage and determination we defeated the superior numbers of the enemy.

Soon their bodies faded from the scene as they released their souls to return to the realm they had foolishly left behind. We patrolled the area to ensure that we enemy was truly dispatched, and finding nothing but a solitary Troll, who was dispatched with ease, we decided to return to the fair lands of Albion. Our job done, the enemy forces dispatched, we returned to our realm; satisfied and victorious.

Thank you to everyone who came to Caledonia; it was a grand battle and great fun.

Good team work all, pity we could not defeat the apathy of many others to come along too, we had 4 rams ready to go and everything; saying that we would not have had this great little scuffle otherwise.

It's amasing what you can achieve when you use your head and not the zerg....

Until next time guys.

PS: I don’t like flameing but <<BAH!>> to all you Alb tanks that came along at the beginning of the evening, got bored because the 3 hibby casters that were about then (funnily enough) would not come out of the safety of the CK and let you hit them or allow you to pepper them with your x-bow and then left. I hope you enjoy zerging in Emain, I know I wont be there.
