Well done to Ad Glorium for bringing some life back to bg3

With a little more effort I hope we can get even numbers of albs/mids/hibs out there, so that it remains fun for all.

Fed up by BG3 allready..

Well. Been to BG3 since saturday now. And, I must say the first two days was really fun.
Now, it is beginning to turn into another emain. 1fg mids meet 3-4 fgs albs. So sick and tired of that. If albs wanna continue meet enemies, they should maybe change their tactic. I don`t mind fighting superior numbers, and certainly don`t mind dying. But, when we face 4 times our numbers, and albs are either camping mtk, or the bridge to ck, so that we die and die and die and die. Never to get one chance to do anything, peeps will just stop playing. We all prolly have mains, that can play either in emain if you want zerging from 3 parts (as opposite to 1), or odins for fun. Or you can exp. As peeps have said today, they would all prefer doing something else than face an so superior enemy without any chance whatsover to do anything.
So, don`t blame us when you end up being without foes. Peeps will just quit BG3 playing and it will end up being deserted again.
Sorry if I stepped on someones toes now, but I really needed to get out some steam.
Plz, try making BG3 worth visiting. Go in grps, not that endless zerging. Will try one more time tomorrow. If I meet that tidal wave again, it is adios BG3.

Alrek out.. Feel free to flame..

All realms will zerg at some point or another. You just have to learn how to deal with it. If you're ounumbered, adopt hit and run tactics. The last few days, the albs seem to be massed around mid-bridge and the cover of their guards. Naturally enough imo. So don't go there.

Still enough room in the bg to pick off stragglers and reinforcements. I was in a 6 person hib grp tonight. Ran to mb got ganked. After that we ran around in circles picking off small grps, solo peeps and resting grps. Don't chase for too long and listen to your leader. Keep moving and you'll live a lot longer. It was only when we stopped moving, we got wiped by some mids.

When you meet the zerg eventually, either run if you can or take as many down with you as you can.

I made 250 rps in an hour tonight. Not uber at all, but a whole lot of fun.

Sorry to see the Alb zerg guys. I agree Albs need to stop it or the hibs/mids won't come, can't blame them. Although when I went solo on Tuesday I ended up in the zerg because thats what my group was doing :( and I am a support class, so i had to stay with the protection.

I can say when Ad Glorium goes with a fg we don't join the Alb zerg....why share the RPs :) we have a minstrel, so we run around a lot, pick off solo's and hope to meet the odd FG hib/mids. However they are getting rarer already as they band together to stand up to the zerg. Although I did see some FG's of hibs using some nice flank tactics, not sure if it was an accident and we got caught by 2 FG's, but we got wiped :)

ALBS : Don't camp the TK's, its a waste of everyones time.

Try and get your FG's to roam, believe me it is more fun !

If all realms do this we will all have more fun.

I agree Rabid.

I think we have all done it in lower bg, camping tk, but now its time to use your knowledge and scout about.

I had the most fun in our AG group running about hoping to meet a equal hib/mid fg, they are some nice battles :)

Thanks to all the realms for making a nice turn out on Monday night /bow

It does seem that there is more albs in the bg, may i suggest getting more hib/mod friends, that should help ;-) <dreams of rps> ;-)

Thanks again guys

This sure wasnt the case at around 1am last night *gasps*. There were at one point 2 fg's of hibs camped at the ck doors while just 5 of us remained in the bg to defend ourselves and the keep. Then after a while, the remaining 4 people in my group were massacred by the hibs, one of them then left, leaving 4 of us and theres little old me alone on the walls quickasting bolts and retreating! We were massively overwhelmed and at that point the hibs could've easily taken the keep if they had tried, for some reason they didnt. I managed to dent them a little by quickcasting bolts from the walls of the ck, killed a few of them that way and hurt a couple of others. I sure could've used you Volt, and Scoop had he had been around. We would've made short work of that hib army ;)

Hibs used to very efficient sneak tactics on us last night, they were very impressive. Congrats to them. Albs dont seem to use much in the way of tactics. For the first couple of nights the bg was active, I lead a group and I used some tactics, and we did extremely well. But after a while when I just wanted to take orders for a while, it became apparent that a majority of albs dont listen to others in their group and just charge tk's and such, so I lost a lot of enthusiasm to lead. I wanted to pick a group of 8 albs who would agree to be a permanent group there, but I doubt this would work out. I already have an ideal group in mind, based on experience of fighting alongside them and knowing they too dont like charges and obvious traps, and would follow orders any group leader made. I'm sure those 7 others know who they are too ;)

well i was there yesterday all the time and at peak time we had 13 people in caledonia - most of the time 1fg only plus 1 or 2 romaing stealthers

anyway the reason why we didnt take the keep is as follows: rams cannot be put on doors - at least that's what i have been told - didnt try it myself though. Then guards are extremely bugged - some of them are immune to all kind of magic and also bolts from rangers - only melee damage was possible. Some of them were vulnerable to pbaoe though as we saw later.

My question: when albs took the keep were you able to put up a ram? but i guess you did it without one as BG3 was deserted at that time.

Anyway I was leaving after camping the ck for an hour or more as I saw no point in that anymore (even got one bolted once - what shame) - i prefer to run around make a quick hit and buzz off again - that's what i am doing with my group when I am in BG3 all the time.

btw there was also about 5 mids at some point - unfortunately we ganked them while buffing up on the ck hill - soz mids ;) - for some reason they didnt come back which i dont understand - there were only 1fg max albs yesterday and 1fg hibs most of the time (bit more later on)

anyway - as i dont have SI yet i will be there again today

:) Hi Trailblazer, i know what you mean.

I know that Ad Glorium will be there for a few more weeks a least, more if the mid and hibs keep sending ppl there.

I just need to get Volt to 35 for maximum damage, but other than that, i will normally be around.

Oh and ill stop testing out the emotes on the battlefield, lol.

ok well i have to say that i'm a bit dissappointed.... was so fun to go /who caledonia and see 7ppl in there.. so i went there with my healer and we were about 1fg of mids... but after running in to 4-5fg of albs again and again and again you just grow tired of it.... it's ok for my friend who got stealth and a bow, then you can circle around and so on, but playing a support class when facing about 4x the numbers of your own realm isn't that fun... hope this will sort out somehow or bg3 will surely be empty again within 2 weeks.... ;(

You can still win when outnumbered by albs ;) but 4-5fg is a bit much!

Ah Trailblazer you were in the ck last night. It had got a bit empty by that time and so we moved to the ck to see if there was any left at all. We were just trying to get you to come out of the ck, not really thinking about taking the keep as it wouldnt really have been fair with so few defenders ;)
It is a lot of fun in bg3 though, I must admit. Although I think im on too late to see the 4/5 fg zergs ... fortunately :)

I agree in what Sneo said. First days was excellent, then it turned into another emain. Gonna try again tonight, tho. Looks like it has become a bit better. Hope so, as I think BG3 has a lot to offer. The only dumb thing is that Middies rarely have the possibilty to field more than 1fg. :/ (And with SI out, there will be even less peeps abound :/ )

OK MSG to all HIBS and MIDS - Ad Glorium will field a FG (Albs) every Sunday and Monday night 9ish til midnight ish GMT.

We promise NOT to join the zerg (we never do anyway), although if we hear our guys are in trouble we will no doubt go help if near, or to rezz if not :)

So if you want fun 1fg v 1fg fun come on those nights.

Rabid

p.s. in the meantime if I am there without full Ad Glorium support I may end up in groups in the zerg....apologies ahead of time....but i do promise to try and get them to roam....usually only possible if we have a minstrel.....oh NOT to camp TKs...what a waste of time that is !...and no fun either.
