Punishment, I understand what you are saying. I know Logi invested lots of time into Anesur's template and it is certainly the toughest character I have ever seen, I cannot recall it losing a duel (although Batuc was hard as nails - I think he would have given you a run for your money).

I think with tanks, perfect templates DO make a difference. I don't think the same can be said for casters though - they die quickly anyway - however I would insist on +49 intelligence/piety.

Atleast that is what I have gathered form my experiences.

Firstly, yes Zergers, AF, hits and constitution are a great help for a caster although I have never capped AF myself.

Secondly, good Cleric template, although what I would say (and Logi will remember my philosophy with regards to this) I would never have less than 30% powerpool on a healing class - even if that does mean sacrificing other stats. I've had two healers, both with around 3000 kills, and the advantage of being able to spam group heal and greater spec heals greatly outweights having, for example, +49 constitution rather than +36.

25% powerpool is cap in thid with +power cap. Here's one with 40con, 49dex, 49pie, 172hits, 24% powerpool, 6AF, 5% healing and all resists are +13% except energy at 7%, but energy is meh anyways..

That's a great template - nice one mate.

But I know for a fact that the cap is higher than that because I had atleast 33% bonus to powerpool on both my Healers.

hehe well that would be cool, anyway I got to lvl24 and got a bit better to and the BG's are fun. Usually I play through and enjoy them but I'll stick with it this time round. I like that tanks are tanks and things like that, as in I can run from a tank and get speed/health going without him casting cl disease at me etc. And BD's are just annoying pesky casters keep sending them in and its constant hassle lol.
