well this is kinda good news i guess....

apart from the exploits you can do in hlstats...

for example 1v1 planting of bomb / defusing... without killing each other

can rack up about 450 points a map for the bomb planter and like 300 for the defuser....

thats rather a lot :/

Id say it was a good idea but being ranked sommit like 10,000,000th is gonna get a bit old after a while :/

the stats will be good if they are reset every month... or something
otherwise people can just amass a huge score on it by exploiting the bugs and then stay top forever

Reset every month and they should need a minimum of 4 poeple for logging on the publics.

Yeah true. But to be honest, people who do exploit the bugs perposly are truely sad. If a player hppens to have an amazing score, this could be verified by looking at thier history.

You can change the way scoring is done btw..

Stats for rented servers

Hi everyone
Just an idea is it possible to put our rented barryservers on the stats page.Me being new to this server rental lark,I looked into setting up a stats page for my clan and wow how complex can it get, well, way over my head.I'm sure most clans would be willing to even pay alittle more for this privalige,well I know I would anyway.The layout and info you can get from it is great as well so please let me know what you think

Killer4hire we will be looking at this for the future, but at the moment the stats are still undergoing test phase and are not an official addition as yet.

Yea that caught me unawares as well - the gamestats pages are now bringing up a password prompt (ie a dialog box, not the normal BW logon). Tried BW nick & pass but no good.

It has been passworded due to poorly written sql queries in the web frontend which crippled mysql.
