Looking to buy an Xbox 360 and was wondering if anyone had seen a really good online (or national chain) deal?

Think it was something like Premium pack, extra control and 2 games for £300.

Only in-store though i think, couldn't find anything about it online.

If I wanted to buy a PS3 I would have made a thread.."Best PS3 Bundle deal", however, I don't want an PS3 so I didn't.

I want to buy an Xbox 360, so saying buy a PS3 is really not helpful or constuctive or will make me go.."oh, yeah sony rox and are not the steaming pile of shit that they are.

1. I don't have £450 to spend on a console
2. I would never buy a sony product ever again after once experiencing thier fucking warranty/support system.

1) PS3 costs around £380 now.
2) Your issue, never had a problem with Sony software, I'm lucky. (As mentioned previoulsy)
3) Game have the best deals currenly.

Was a hardware problem with a minidisk player, after they had it sat in the repair centre for 6 weeks they returned it unrepaired due to the "battery being left in the device for a long period of time" well yeah..its been sat in your fucking repair shop for 6 weeks.

A year it took me and I got no where, the manager in the sony shop franchise was the biggest cnut in history..

Overall I have had nothing but a bad time with Sony

Well the shop i went to was in Slough (So no worrys about going there), the repair centre was in London or something and was the "main Sony repair centre" for the area.

I went through the head office for 6 months, with letters flying back and forward. Unfortunatly I couldn't be arsed any more and brought an Ipod nano (no slagging please , had no problems with it and I have dropped it so many times)

One of the times they tried to tell me that 4 hours play time was the expected playtime of my unit (full to flat) even though the website and box and everything said 32 hours .

After 4 months I got a replacement battery which ofc did not fix the problem, so the manager of the shop told me I was obviously doing something wrong...lol

I don't think I have ever wanted to smack someone in the face so hard as that wanker.

They "estimated" that the repair should take 4 days originally.

But yeah, best bet would be to look at GAME honestly, they're bound to have the more recent deals (Unless you go through 'play' and order online, should be some different ones there)

Just bought a premium one with gears of war + crackdown from gamesworld for £280, had a look online and while there are slightly cheaper ones available, looked on play.com, no more than £10 maybe better

I've had one since january last year and i'd say only buy one if :


you aren't gonna play too often, there isnt many good games out, the last game i bought was january... 3-4 months ago.. havnt played my xbox since then


or if you're gonna get into xbox live!


honest opinion, cost me like £400 and while it's been fun, theres a huge gap between every good game, even 2-3 hours an evening and u can finish any game in a week or two, then too long to wait for the next :|

revised it to no real avail, yes

still uses 2 60mm fans, and a heatsink. same size die on the cpu/gpu so no difference in heat.

some elite owners are even reporting teh ring of death

tbh if i were going to buy a 360 i'd get a second hand one, and hax it - As you don't care about the warranty anyway, they're practically throw away consoles

Having that said, i've had mine 9 months now and dispite taking it to bits a few times its fine

an Xbox 360 with a freezer!

a) you get a quiet xbox
b) you can cool your beer in there when you're not playing
c) you can make a Pizza in there when you ARE playing!

was tempted to get a bit crafty a couple of weeks ago, so put a watercooling into my xbox. Let's just say a 120mm Radiator + Fan works ... but barely.
Noise reduction is quiet significiant though.
