Best type of bike lock/chain to buy?

Just curious if anyone knows the best type to buy and the best way to lock them?

(within reason - I don't want a 20kg massive chain of steel).

Depending on what type of release you got on the wheels you may need another (not necessarily as big) lock to attach the front wheel to the frame. Not that savvy on bikes, I know there are some peoples here who are who will probs be able to explain better, but some front wheels can just pop off with a couple of quick release lever things. Best to attach the frame and back wheel if poss to the lock pillar things in the ground.
