this whole liverpool debate is ridiculous. yes, they had a great team in the 80s, but the thread is about PREMIERSHIP teams. liverpool have been consistently shite in the premiership - which was founded in 1992. thus, manchester united and arsenal have certainly been better PREMIERSHIP teams.

nottingham forest were just as successful as liverpool were (read: were; past tense) back in the day, the difference is notts forest fans accept (on the whole) that their team have had their day (for now). liverpool fans annoy the fuck out of me with their "WE WERE ONCE GREAT, SO WE WILL ALWAYS BE GREAT" attitude. football is fluid, it is transient, just like everything else - teams get better, teams get worse. over the past 20 years, liverpool have gotten worse. accept it, in the context of the premiership - both manchester united, arsenal and arguably chelsea have all achieved far more than liverpool and been far better teams since the conception of the premiership.

But you got so feckin lucky in that final so i have heard if they did not try to get every one on the pitch and upset there flow you would never have won I did not see the game so it could be wrong

Nothing to do with luck They just did not know when to stop, Bayern defended so well but they just could not hold their concentration for the duration of the match. Watching Ole stick his foot on the knock down gives me shivers every time I see it.
