Onslaught is pure, allmost, rvr guild.

Longer figts? Yes. Uncontrollable? Yes. That's what make's it sucky.
2FG is enough people to kill 4-5FG if all goes well. 1FG is 3FG max. 2FG is very hard already.
No one cares? So... When NP ran with 2FG when most of us dinged 50, there was HORRID whine over it. Now when suddenly others run 2FG, its ok? Well, you might've not whined about it. Anyways, off track now.
1FG... 1FG in all realms can contain enough damagedealers and support to cover all fronts. Buffs, heals, resistance buffs, PBT, speed... Everything.
2FG fights usually end up in a lot of deaths on both sides, 'cause it's very uncontrollable. You cast a mez, some of em are too far away, you AE, some are out of radius... Of course more people = more hassle = more lag. Smaller fights are much much more fun that just getting nuked from one of the 10 random casters background instead of the 3. Bigger fights add too much of the "luck" factor in there.
1FG isn't a must, I know. Random picked groups might just aswell run in 2FG, since usually a little more experienced and balanced groups beat 2FG with ease. When it's 2FG of hardcore players with topnotch items and buffed to the teeth... It's no shame to run.

Onslaught runs in 2fg alot, but allso 1fg near amg and 1fg near hmg and we are in CG or we just use GC.
But what do u want us to do?
We are running a fg and few ppl want to RvR allso.. just tell them to fuck off? No, they make a 2nd group and ofcourse if we know there are incoming on the other mg (read line above) we move there with the other group as support.
Quite nice to see our little guild here so many times..

...we do infact go "as a guild"....the guild feeling is a very important "value" in Onslaught and we try to RvR as much as possible "as a guild". If ppl wanna tag along they r asked to set up a 2nd grp and tag along when the grp is sorted. We prefer to go together or "work together" doing 1fg + 1fg scirmishes (spelling?).
The day we refuse ppl to tag along coz we dont want more than 1fg.....is the end of Onslaught and its values. We play "as a guild" and we WILL continue to do so.
If we seem always to go 2fg thats coz were an active guild with active members and I hope we will continue to do so.
The size of our guild is perfect atm...we seem to be able to get 2fgs+ going at all times (peak hours) and the class balance is ~optimal atm (give or take a few "active" skalds
).
And Kr0n yes I do agree having more than 2fgs going is a mess and demands heavy leadership and thats 1 of the reasons we dont want to get any bigger. Well will start by my defintion of a good RvR guild:

A guild that brings the Relics home, and keep them there.

At these thing I think Nemesis and Onslaugt are the bedst RvR guilds.
Nemesis has under the leadership of durgi really becomme a very strong ally in Relic raids, and the Nemesis raids are well planed and the results show this
Onslaugt those huge amount of frontire defence, keeping the Mid frontier quite safe and providing early warning for posible keep/relic raids

Using the same arguments as we did... Funny how things change...
I see no problem in 2 groups running around Emain, but not just together... If you know what I mean... Dont you want challenge?

I grouped with Kalgarn and his Onslaught crew a little time before my semi retirement to RL.
Have to say I had a fantastic evening with them, the highlight being our 1 fg taking out 2 fgs of Hibs in a well setup ambush. The only thing I would say was that Kalgarn was rather poor at keeping the casters alive....... ok... he was crap.
I would love to see how well he keeps his casters alive now that he has had a bit of practice

I have never had a shield urgat and i usually come on sauv road solo if i have to ,normally seeing some troll hiding behind a tree with his arms visible or some kobold floating about jumping around(cabo,durgi etc)
Onslaught i like because they rvr in many places where i go usually,fedaykin(sorry if spelt wrong) come to sauv too along with bad omen i beleive and all give good fights.

I woudnt say there is a "True" RvR guild on Mid/Pry atm not like Nolby or Llaw Arian (sp?).
Nordic Fury are getting there though.
I like Warders 2fg everynight, was fun with balanced classes/groups.

your forgetting the time aspect of the game, BO, Onslaught, Nordic fury are relitively (sp) newish guilds maybe onslaught getting on a bit now ;p ,
also the fact that onslaught defend mid frontier they dont get "that" many people coming through apart from the odd occasion.
as for BO they've been breeding a new PvE/RvR team Boooom and azurats healer (just some that come to mind) they are just starting to bring in the rp's.

to be honest i do not like emain much i mainly go odins/hw/sauv seems to be more fun fights and more fair skilled players.
