My best present is "The Nightmare Before Christmas" DVD...one of my favourite movies of all time.

However santa also brought me a flu/fever...so i've choked down xmas lunch to please the parents (of my own volition) and spent all afternoon shivering in front of christmas TV.

This hasn't disheartened me though, i still enjoyed the day thoroughly

Loads of good stuff, but best pressie was from Mrs Yuck. A circuit day in one of these...

My dad suggested getting that for me but the place he was looking at ordering it from said it was only 3 laps of silverstone (I think). For 200 quid (we were looking at the Modena :D) was a bit lame I thought :|

Not really sure I have a fav but I got:

Neon blue powerball (utterly utterly addictive)
Peep Show S1 dvd
Seinfeld S1-3 dvd
Dylan Moran Live dvd

Judging by the responses here, Peter Jackson made quite a bit of dosh this christmas.

Give me £200 you can have the TT for an entire day :)

What cool things can I get for my niece, shes about 7 I think, coming round here in the next week or so?

she likes disney shop figurines notebooks etc with pens and anything girlie, fluffy, teddies etc or music like britney spears, sugarbabes etc or music vouchers

Thats what her mum says, but I always like to go for the unexpected, something that doens't get chucked away after a few years.

Lolitta Lempicka do a lovely perfume set that comes inside a music box with a dancing figure - if I was a little girl I'd love that (though, having said that, when I WAS a little girl I tore the heads off dolls, ran a fake poo factory, and ate the contents of my hungry hungry hippos game, so perhaps not if I was a little girl, but it sounds like it might suit this little girl). ASDA also do girly techy stuff, like a journal that has a voice activated lock on it and a pen that plays songs and can shred notes.

Karaoke machine! My niece loves hers, or a gameboy -- although it can be tricky finding games suitable for a little girl.

I got a good haul this year.

LoTR Trilogy Extended Boxset (As appears to be mandatory this year)
TV Card for 'puter
A rather lovely Radiohead art calendar (I specify the art so as not to give the impression that I'll be wall-mounting pin-up posters of Thom Yorke).
Jeffery Zeldman's excellent Designing with Web Standards book (the Bible of t'interweb design)
The accomanying book from the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition.

Those are the biggies. There's 'miscilanious other stuff' too, but this was supposed to be a 'best pressies' thread, which I would imagine does not extend to 'half a packet of marzipan' ;).

Phoenix stunt kite. (CUNNING STUNTS!)
Rather nice "executive" leather desk chair.
Ironic juxtaposition of DVDs: Singin' in the Rain (which I've always loved) and Akira Kurosawa's adaptation of "Macbeth" on one hand, and the first two series' of Bottom on the other.
Weights, exercise mat, books, huge etymology dictionary, gluten-free chocolates. Not bad really, considering I didn't even ask for anything much.

I got some dvd's...
The Godfather trilogy,
Pulp Fiction,
Peep Show (series 1)
Bill Bailey part troll
Ricky Gervais Politics
Early Doors series 1
Seinfield series 1 + 2 boxset
Battle Royale 2 : Requiem

Also got the Arsenal away shirt, a chain, some aftershave, a new watch, Every Ruddy Word (the entire script for I'm Alan Patridge series 1 and 2, Knowing me knowing you series 1 and 2, and the radio programme script.) And about 40 quid.
Oh and a mousemat with a ladies face and boobies.

Not a bad haul, I'm unfortunate in that my birthday is on the 13th of January, so I have to go almost an entire year with nothing afterwards.

Anduril: Sword of Aragorn.

It's damned awesome.
Ohhhhh!!! Can you show us a piccy of you holding it, or the sword standing up next to something? I've wanted it for ages but I don't trust the pictures on the sword websites. What is it like?

It's actually a sword??

I thought it was a game or something. How Strange...

Having said that, I'd kill for a life-size stormtrooper stood in my corner :p
