Apparently staff can use 20% of their day to do their own thing and work on their own projects. There is a huge globe in the lobby of one of the buildings that shows searches in real time from all over the world, It was made my an employee in "their" time etc etc.

Anyhow, I work for a company that does loads for it's staff, not quite google but better than anywhere else I have worked, and as it happens no one leaves the company. everyone loves it here and productivity is high.

It makes me wonder why some employers beat staff with shit sticks all day long and then wonder why they do crap work.

because they can replace you within the day unfortunately (ofc there are exceptions, personally i regard anyone who doesnt make themselves a neccesity within and organisation expendable as it means they have no self-motivation to get things done )
