Where do you guys buy your Region 2 DVDs from?

Play, Blackstar or somewhere else. Just curious as to the word on the street. Not that its to do with a work related topic or anything;)

Most of mine are bought from play.com

Depends on how rare the film is but generally play.

I did get sling blade from ebay a few months ago though.

I use the following

www.play.com (UK)
www.dvdboxoffice.com (CANADA)

Both have free shipping and sometimes dvdboxoffice works out cheaper than play, but of course it is only useful if like me you buy region 1 DVDs.

Play, Blackstar, eBay and Amazon arent too bad.

If you arent too bothered about extras etc then Blockbuster usually have a good deal on ex rentals.

I would have said Play.com, but to be honest there's not much difference between them and HMV for older films.

Nowadays I usually just pop into HMV. Older films I want are usually in their two-for-£20 section. For new films I guess Play still rules. FREE POSTAGE!

I usually use HMV. I don't go anywhere else because I find HMV to be far superior for my tastes. I occasionally use Amazon, but because I usually just withdraw all my cash instead of using a card of some sort, I generally can't use Amazon.

Well I just ordered Back to the future Triple disk set from CD-Wow and it costs £19.99 there now.

I think HMV are selling it for £24.99.

Now you are welcome to spend the extra if you like.

I also ordered Donnie Darko from DVDSoon for around £7 including delivery. Its not even out on DVD at HMV.

HMV's buy one get one free deals are ok but you can get the same films at CD-Wow (and others) and pay a little bit less most times...

I go outside to a shop, usually from work because I get a discount, but also Virgin and HMV. I much prefer buying like this than over the net, you see exactly what you are getting, and the prices are usually reasonable -especially during this sale period.

Ono gives the masses the list of his favourite suppliers:

DVDSoon for R1 releases

Play for R2 releases and games

Yesasia for Korean R3 releases

DVDAsian for Korean R3 releases

CD-Wow for R1/R2/R4 releases

DDDHouse for Hong Kong R3 releases

DVDcrave for cheap Gamecube games

I also pop along to the local MVC now and then to see what they have in the sales.

DVDSoon and Yesasia are getting the most money from me at the moment. ;)

well I have to say that Play.com better be good :)

I am about to place an order for about 70 DVDs...

Insurance money is coming thru this week

tbh I have searched about and Play seem the cheapest by a quid or 2 here and there which when buying in bulk soon adds up.

Play will be fine. Safest bet.

What you *may* want to do is see if there are any Special Editions of some of the DVDs you lost and go for those rather than any bog standard ones.

:ROFLMAO:

We had to do the same, my step-son's bag got stolen with his entire collection of nu-metal CDs and we put in a massive order to replace them all, the problem is they wrap and send them individually, as they become available, whatever the case !

Look forward for the odd parcel or five arriving over the next few days !!!

He did :) now my bedroom floor is covered in jiffy bags :D
