well it is quite impossible to say who is the best of each class; ofc someone who has spent many many hours playing a single char and earned millions of rps should be more experienced and 'better' (routine, RAs) if you want so but it also depends a lot on other circumstances: if we are talking about group-friendly classes the performance of the individuals will depend on the other group members (for instance in my case: how good are the healers so i can play more aggressive, do the mages work together well, etc).
So instead of trying to list the 'best' of each class (which is not possible anyway) I will give my all time favourites that just stand out for one or another reason:
Midgard:
Healer: Xanatea - good player and prime whiner
Skald: Netcode - just for the whine factor
Savage: Mumin - probably the deadliest savage
Shaman: none
Warrior: Jawz - a very good player imo
Thane: none
Berserker: Wrathofsauron - how i miss the flamefests on BW
Shadowblade: none
Hunter: Fatbelly - a real little freak this one
Bonedancer: Nazghul (or however he is spelt) - seen him soloing a lot and he played very well
Runemaster: Kallistor - first RR11 on excalibur and one hard nuking mofo (remember those NP runemaster groups...)
Spiritmaster: Wiiwii - i still remember his massive kill spams
Albion:
Cleric: Noretn - think he is a very good player
Merc: noone in particular although I like the RB mercs a lot (cannot recall all names now)
Armsman: Gunnerr - very nice guy and good player

Theurgist: Outlaw - although he sometimes takes the massive in MMORPG too literal he is probably one of the funniest players on excal; he is also very good and knows how to play a theurgist (ie put pets fast on key classes instead of generating killspam)
Wizard: Evelina - part of the TB caster group that can often be seen in odin and one nasty bish - and ofc Zoyster (not only for being Outlaw's brother )
Sorcerer: quite a few good ones - but none in particular
Infiltrator: none
Scout: Aussie - weird guy
Necromancer: none
Cabalist: Cyclia & Cerdin - both nasty a long time ago (pre-SC) when they were still matter specced (ouch their DOTs hurt); also they are/were very fast taking out key classes as spirit cabbies
Friar: Quicksilver - he does hurt a lot; wish I could switch staves with him
Paladin: none
Reaver: Whyp - for being a very good soloer; Tildai - for being one annoying mofo interrupting bish
Hibernia:

some bonedancers like bonehead or mill on prydwen are doing a gr8 job, can interupt 3 support a time.
But yeah bonedancer in solo aint is another thing.

A lot of clerics aren't really high enough realm rank to shine through. Noretn came back this evening though (After what seems like an eternity offline) and I can't wait to get down to some serious rvr with him in my group again
Same goes for cabalists, you say they all suck but thats cus a cabalist sucks! the entire 3 spec lines have enough spells to just about make 1 decent spec line (nearsight, disease, debuffs). Kinda the same as a chanter except a chanter does get all their decent spells in one line!
