What would be a best mid group setup after frontiers?

I am thinking 3 healers 1 shaman 1 skald is a must. (Want speed 6 not going to rely on aug speed + sprint)

So that leaves 3 spots for dmg dealers

Any suggestions ?

2 SMs/1 det tank? or RMs?

Looking for constructive input, no 8 thane mid groups please

No such thing as a det tank after frontiers, just not worth the points. People will spec 15 or 5 minute purge instead and put money elsewhere. Some hardcore players might go det5 but it will disadvantage them as it's 34 odd points for the equivilent of det4 in old money and that's including the passive freebee stoicism.

Actually in your set up what you would be needing is a thane..... Static tempest is perfect for pbaoe groups as it adds defence and non immunity cc around the box. and if they have wrath of the champions, even better ;)

One good setup is: 2 Sm, Rm, skald, warrior, shammy, pac/mend, aug/mend.

That wouldn't be l33t though, I mean just think if Midgard random groups can't emulate RvR Gank setups then... then... hand me my paper bag I think i'm having a panic attack!

Hth savage is R.I.P. in fronties, they removed duelist reflexes RA, so only viable savage spec will be 2h.

Imho 3 sm, skald, warr/thane, 2 healers, shaman. Or 2 zerk/sava, warr/thane, skald, 2 healers, shaman

I think that there will be several viable groupsetups where some will be good in some situations and some in other but one that might be good is.

Savage, Zerker, Warrior, Skald, Any tank or caster, Shaman, 2 Healers (2 healers enough with SOS etc)

Hth savage in no way dead in frontier, zerker for PF and castspeed debuff, warrior as defensive madman with AE block etc, skald for sos, damage, speed etc, shaman with 50 enhance rest cave for best buffshearing and interrupt etc, 1 pachealer 1 aughealer and last postition for any tank or caster, with BG it might be preferable to go caster like maybe a darkcarver that debuffs own damage or a SM for defensive purpose.

From what I can see about Frontiers there won't be any such thing as a "Best" set up like you get just now where you can create a single setup and apply it to 90% of any action in RvR.

With the massive terrain changes and the way you find fights changing the type of group you run seems to indicate where you will run, not if you will be effective. You're also going to be able to teleport close to any hotspot with the keep changes and get into action fast so that means larger battles with more people arriving at them quickly.

Also, I recall it being mentioned Mythic are not optimising for 1FG RvR but for between 2-4FG teams now. The goal seems to be to make a so-called best setup or its minor variants have limited application so that a wider variety of players classes can join in.

Byebye Quake3 Emain, very few will miss it ;)

i think ur making an assumption rvr will be radically different from what it is today. that may be mythics intention but that doesnt mean it will happen ;)

ppl will still want to go _somewhere_ where they know they will find enemies day or night, no it wont be emain, it'll be some place else :m00:

the RA changes will shake-up grp make-up a little no doubt, many will still seek the 'gank grp' type rvr tho imo.

All Keeps will be the new emain, if you wanna fight someone go attack a keep, people will start to port in and you have your fight. No more bottle necks so no more camping. No point going to another realm unless you plan on attacking something. I guess some people will camp the coast line but theres a lot of it to camp.

Thanes (and other hybrids) are going to be pretty damn good with new frontiers... and besides, bigger battles = spam mjollnir = more RPS - also, you know Thanes are the one class least likely to get nerfed :p
