I would say they all have their advantages and disadvantages... Enchanter is probobly the easiest class to play, while (IMO) Mentalists is most fun.

Anything with pbae. or you wont get into high end rvr groups.

unless u a more casual player then it dont matter.

At the same time it's the least fun as it's so easy.

Don't disregard Mana and Void Elds.

Mana elds have access to a wide variety of very useful tools, both RvR and PvE. The str/con debuff makes you hit for about 150-200 more on (red/low purp to 50) mobs, and from (my personal) tests seems to take off about 20-30% off any opposing melee class damage. And it's insta, so it's something to do whilst you're running towards the other PBAEer. Disease is not used enough in Hib at the moment. If you fight good Mids you will almost inevitable get diseased by the shammy. Halves heals (not spread unless you get the healer), drops str and has a 15% snare effect that can double up to 30% when you have Wild Arcana. The Snare DD is handy to QC and then get away from a melee class hitting on you, as is the AE-Snare if there's more than one. You'll also have access to the str and dex debuffs in the eclipse baseline, as well as nearsight from your secondary spec.

Void Elds rock in solo PvE, you will quite regularly two bolt yellow con mobs. The energy debuff you have means that you can drastically increase a PBAEer effectiveness (and if a chanter debuffs cold for you you hi for quite a lot as well).

I really had fun with my mentalist in PvE <sarcasm>. Unless you're a crackbot, you have nothing to do in groups...

Mana Mentalist AE kiting multiple blues/yellows is the most fun I've EVER had PvEing.
