Right then, what would u say was the best film of this year? For me it has to be Gladiator, best film I've seen in a long time and probably contains the most rousing scene ever in a film (for me anyway :]).

Come on then, whats yours?

For me, although I havent seen Gladiator, and even though I cant remember if it was actually 2000 or 1999 (cos I only saw it this year), wus The Sixth Sense. If R0xx0r3d.

Charlies Angels did it on the gratuitous cleavage and wet-t-shirt front also. :D

Not sure which is 'best' but i really enjoyed Fight Club, Green Mile and American Beauty. They also bring back memories as I saw them all in South Africa at the start of the year :)

tbh, I was dissapointed in Gladiator. My best film was Green Mile. Top stuff.

Lads I read the books of the Green MIle, being a bit of an SK fan, but am always sceptical about how they transfer to film. How does the GM stack up to the books?

Gladiator, although I saw it in a crap cinema. Toy Story 2 is a close second. Chuck's Angels was arse.

Fight Club 0wns also :) Still has to be Gladiator for me though, the barbarian horde scene at the start is the best thing I've ever seen on celluloid.

Gladiator is shit tho, all the action, yeah yeah, very good let down by plot, acting, talkign etc.. For more examples of this, see Rollerball

I saw Gladiator in a very good theater but I'd have to agree with Scooba

I want to see these:

-The Watcher
-Hannibal
-Lord of the Rings [tho they will prolly fsck this up badly]

I am at a loss for words. Are you incredibly dense? The plot was one of the best I have seen since American History X, the acting.....christ half the cast were in "old" Roman epics (Derek Jacobi in I, Claudius for example), and Russell Crowe captivated audiences like no one I have seen in years. And as for the talking, let me guess, you didnt understand half of it.

Now if you had said you didnt enjoy it, that would have been fair enough, but to knock it in all the areas it was so far ahead of its contemporay films it was untrue in, that just smacks of horseshit.

Please, try to locate your other braincell before attempting to comment on things.

Ho-hum, Bodhi in not practising what he preaches NON SHOCKA!

Now, I appreciate you have problems with understanding that all of the things I mentioned are in fact SUBJECTIVE, thus, everything I say on them is an opinion, much the same way as yours is, please read what you post before commiting it, because you would have looked like much less of an abrasive attention seeing prick if you had done so.

Hopefully you'll be able to improve on this in the future.
