Well that GOA event was the most shit I've ever seen, couldn't move around on that bloody island without getting twatted by either the skeletons or teleported all over by the succubuses

it was quite interesting - everytime i went on the island my cabbie's pet kept getting turned into a lvl1 imp!!!

Once the event was over the pet stayed with me and we had some nice fights

BTW just your presense in Agramon cause problems, because the lord would be healed, when Hibs/Albs were present and thus all must be killed to complete the GOA quest. Even so, you might as well forget it, people (all hibs, mids, and albs) are so RP hungry/horny, that they'll kill anyone, just for being there. I had a similare situation, couple groups of hibs, and albs were fighting, I find an alb a bit from the action, and I pick a fight.. What do the hibs do.

They stun me... let the alb get some distance away, stun the alb, and proceed to kill me (a solo hunter vs 3 fg hibs), as if I was a threat to them. They even made sure I would not get any RP for nearly killing the alb I was fighing, by killing me first, and then killing the alb - Bravery yay!.. All I can say is how petty.

Unfortunately the game has degenerated to a level that if you're in the frontier, even if you're grey and solo, you will be ganked.

2 years of being mercilessly grey ganked sort of makes you stop caring, as the probability is that the one that you gank, has ganked you (on an alt) many times over. This is why I kill what I can and also add on any fights that I see, because I generally experience that when I'm fighting someone (a there are a few exceptions - which are high RR and impossible for me to kill anyhow), I end up fighting 2-3 people at a time. It has a cascade effect.

I'd prefer a fair even fight, but unfortunately that is impossible (people either outgun you - high RR etc, or outnumber you) so you must leech until you get high enough RR to be able to have a chance.

Lol you killed your own argument there Fender? Go RvR somewhere else, then, oops you can't. Fair enough to slag it off when going anywhere else to RvR will mean you see open spaces and the only thing you'll battle against is the boredom

The island is an RVR zone, it is not there so you can trot around and have a picnic. Plenty of picnic zones for you to roleplay in.

The teleports were slightly annoying really. Badly hurt from a zillion mobs and then teleported to a gate where a passing Mid just had to push me over for some free rps. Hope it gets better

and since when was old school emain good for "no add leet fg vs fg"? most of the fgs spent their time farming noobs at milegates and outside pks... the people that wanted fg fights went to briefine (and farmed the inc hib noobs.. hrm ok )

True, but imo the fg fight today can be so zzz at times, when people arrange places to meet etc for pure fg fight. It was more "real" in old frontiers where you could roam around, and meet fgs, but you could also fight the zergs like at keeptakes which was major part of the fun also (at times )
