Robert Rosario 38 goals in 262 appearances :D talk about a prolific striker :D he was even voted into Norwich's worst ever XI

As for fantasy footy, best sketch ever was when Glenn Hoddle got made the England boss and they showed him praying next to his bed for a sign from God about what to do with the England team and a pinapple came down on string. Too funny :D

Voted Keane but surely Teddy Sheringham should be on here - done everything and still doing it

He had the touch and everything, but Cantona was such an influential force in United uprising during the 90's that for me makes him the best player to be the key behind such a period of domination that Man utd showed

This is about premiership not Ireland, Keane is the best ever premiership footballer to date, not just because of success but also the fact he was rated as the worlds best midfielder in his prime.

As for best team, ill see your season unbeaten season and raise you a Title, Fa Cup and European Cup in one season. :)

You talk about this being the premiership and then drag europe and cups into it rofl, spoken with true bias

keane is just a disgrace, after his tackle on Alfie Haaland which ended his career after he said he went out onto the pitch to injure him and nothing was done about it.... absolute joke. Should not be allowed to have anything to do with the game ever again.

Same with cantona, attacking a spectator and all united fans disowned him and people having keane shirts burned and tattoos removed etc, seems funny how quickly you can forget these things and gloryfy these morons

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8BvosAWuj8

But i guess your one of the people at the back looking supprised, should have been taken away in handcuffs

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cuyw7zWgKOQ

another "tackle" he gets a yellow for, i wonder how long cristiano would stay on the floor for that..... it was in 1994.... i still think we would be seeing him on the side line at boundary park rolling around

Good point, why the fuck isn't Giggs in this poll? Over 500 premiership appearances, 137 goals, 17 major trophies to his name and not one of the players in this can claim to have won half what he has won. Someone needs a good slapping :p ;) :D

What Marc said, many great players have been sent off or done stupid things, Gazza for instance, completely off the rails for most of his career but every England fan wanted to see him on the pitch. Zidane, headbutting in the world cup final, beckham, rooney, the list is long.

For talent and achievement there are few if any that rivaled Roy Keane. If you are going to post crap like this at least have a good point to argue, not just some hate filled vendetta against Roy Keane :m00:

That fucking queer at Selhurst park deserved it, his face was priceless when he shit himslef irl. I bet it looks good on his Cv personal statement I shit myself once when Cantona fucked me up for griefing his Mother.

Keane was and will always be a legend, to echo Marc, his performance against Juve when he knew he could not play in the final anyway was sensational.

Anyone saying Keane was a cock and does not deserve any praise is a fucking moron and should have their fingers and tongue removed to take away the ability they have to talk shit.

Good point to argue? can you read? Theres a difference between a spur of the moment emotion thing such as what Zidane did and a pre meditated attack on someone. I myself would have reacted similar to Zidane and think he did what any man would do, it was more of a gesture than to hurt him.

But keane.... jesus ill let him do the talking

In his book, Keane indicated that his knee-high tackle was motivated by revenge, after he had spent a year on the sidelines recovering from an injury suffered while he tried to trip Haaland in a previous match.

"I'd waited almost 180 minutes for Alfie," Keane said. "I'd waited long enough. I hit him hard. The ball was there (I think). Take that."

He purposely ended Haaland's career because of a challenge, not even a reckless challenge, a challenge where he fucked up, not Haaland. Who was he to decide that he was going to end someones career, there whole life because he got injured when how many people have been on the end of his stupid reckless challenges. If every player went round doing that the game would be a disgrace and keane wouldnt have a leg to stand on so to say.

He shouldnt have been allowed near a football pitch after that, as for talent i really fail to see how you can compare him to Henry or even any of the players on the list, was just a loud mouth abusive oaf who was a good player which is overshadowed by him being a complete moron but no way can you rank him among the best.

Keane was a great player but in certain ways was also a disgrace to the premiership. Depends how you define 'best player' tbh.

I saw Keane in this place called Brown sugar, in Durham a couple of days ago, was being a bit of an arse then as well not signing any autographs etc.

Agree with Cmr on the Keane case, he should NEVER have been allowed on a football field after that incident.
He was a great leader and a captain, but that tackle was the tackle of a madman. And when he writes it was intentional.. Fuck him, he deserves to burn in fucking hell.

Cantona had every right to land one on the fan for comments made, if he done that in the pub he would off been on the end of alot worse treatment. Infact Cantona has done alot more then most to try get racism out of football and that scene just illustrates that it does get to players.

And I never disowned him, infact I supported him more because he knew what would happen to him but he still taught the bastard a lesson :p

edit: the Haaland tackle was inexcusable, but the second one I see constantly at all levels of football. Late challenges made at pace etc. Always look bad then what being on the receiving end. Hell in sunday league soccer you get straight up and the next time they got the ball they flattened :p
