Whats the best cartoon series around?

Family guy for me. Only started watching this recently but theres so many little/subtle things in it that make it more funny than the simpsons, which uses a more blatant approach

The end of Futurama was one of the biggest mistakes in TV history (The other being the cancellation of Firefly). Nothing ever came close to the humour in the last few series - and nothing has came close since.

Family Guy is ok, but a bit too crude for me at times. The Simpsons, well... They just dont seem to know what to do with it anymore. In the last few series, some episodes have been brilliant, but some have really been lame (Such as the one with Ricky Gervais!)

theres only so many times u can pull the same jokes in diffrent way before it gets to fucking old..

imo Simpsons have lost everything that made it funny.

Simpsons will always have a place in my heart - with the odd exceptions, most of the episodes are such a great insight into American family life, and done in a very good way on a level that is funny to both adults and kids.

Has to be the simpsons.. without it all the others would never of existed.

It made cartoons acceptable to adults, where as before they were things your kids watched. It's also the one that appeals to every age group. The others are probably funnier to certain people, but they don't have the same diversity.

That said my personal favourite off the list is probably futurama.. but how has no-one mentioned the words danger and mouse yet!!
