Had a couple of fierce discussions about this and I wanted to know what your opinions were on this =) I am omitting Pele from this because I don't want those to just say him without really knowing much about football and also the fact that because Pele probably was the best it's better not to have him in the discussion so there can be a lot of different ideas.

So, do you believe the modern players: Ronaldinho, Kaka, Ronaldo are the best? What about the fantastic goalscorer Romario? Brazil also have some brilliant defenders, the two Santos', Carlos Alberto, do you rate them? What about Rivelino and his famous moustache? Don't forget fantastic dribbles Zico/Garrincha/Jairzinho? Or perhaps the midfield maestros tix your boxes in Socrates and Falcao? Of course, there are so many I couldn't put it all into a poll, so what are you opinions? =)

Ronaldinho or Zico. Romario has admitted that he has been doped.

You have to keep in mind, that todays football is on a higher level. Way higher. None of the players you've mentioned, have been stable all the way through their career. The same thing goes for Ronaldinho as it is right now - He'll be back though.

Watching Ronaldo score his hatrick against Manchester United amazed me tbh. Everytime he touched the ball it was like he was on a different level to all of the players on the pitch. Granted he has become a fat lazy bastard but hey he was still shit hot in his prime.

Garrincha :worthy::worthy:

Amazing footballer and he also had the knob of a horse from all accounts, so mucho blessed imo....

I mean come on:

One of his legs was two inches shorter than the other. He lost his virginity to a goat, slept with hundreds of women and sired at least 14 children. When he played for the Brazilian national team in the 1950s and early 60s, he scored 34 goals and won the World Cup twice. He killed his mother-in-law in a car crash, then died of drink. His name was Garrincha, and his exploits make Paul Gascoigne look like an amateur.

Thats the synopsis to his biography, what a legend. :worthy:

Socrates was a decent player as well, Ronaldinho is the only player I'd rate at the same level as these two from the current crop of Brazil players, although Robinho has the potential to be a star

nono, not goalwise - he has always been good in that area.

But he did have something "extra" when he was younger (and thin). He doesn't dribble half of the other team before scoring anymore.
