After a quick lookie on Google, there seems to be 2 types of benchmarking software floating around the interweb.
Stuff on trial with limited functions, or free stuff which appears on 'dodgy' sites (adware etc).
Does anyone know of some free stuff that's reasonable? I'll keep on searching in the mean time, but I'd rather go with recommendations (I'm sure that's spelt wrong) than stumbling blind and installing something that will bring down the works domain!! Work is too much of a scrooge to spend money.
It needs to run under varying Windows installs. No need for 3Dmark type stuff, I'm not testing any fancvy gfx cards, just basic works machines. I'm trying to see if I can get some of the old PC's (the machines we run are touching 10 years old - and I'd hate to ask how old the servers are!!!) to overheat/break/explode in a hail of components so I can finally convince the bosses to spend some f***ing money on new kit.
