Bench marking your pc?

I built my new pc.. and i wanna bench mark it.

You know.. Gfx mark etc

But.. i have no idea how to go about doing it

heard of a prog called si softsandra i downloaded it but its all loads of jargon to me!

Any idea? Surly i cant be alone in wanting to compare dic.. processor size.

Heh.

Try 3D Marks 2003 or 2001 to get a rough benchmark for games. The 2003 version is more orientated to graphics card though. Remember, too, that no two computer will benchmark the same. Bloody fuck, more often than not, your own computer won't benchmark the same.

As for benching your processor size, you just look around and ask and stuff. "How fast is your processor?", it's not too hard is it?

If you're looking to benchmark CPU only from a game perspective, try comparing two machines running Quake3 in 640*480. It'll effectively not hinge on the GFX card and differences in CPU power should show.

Alternatively, try 3dmark2003's CPU benchie.

My friend turns off anti-aliasing and all that stuff when he runs benchmark programs too, the cheat

I reboot the PC, close down all programs then run the benchmark, dont know if it helps or not...

so i swapped back to 4.3 cats from 4.4 and bingo score was back up to 6100ish
