Belkin ADSL router and USB adapter

I have brought a Belkin 802.11g wireless router and a Belkin USB wireless adapter. I've tried multiple settings. Can't get it to work.. anyone no the settings

if your using encryption make sure you have the same key on both client and router and preferably used WPA-PSK instead of WEP.

can your client see the SSID of the router.

its not a case of knowing the settings, more like knowing where your going wrong. most of these should work out the box.

Also make sure a personel firewall is not blocking the connection?

do you get a DHCP address? if you do then your talking to the routter, if not then you have a connection prob bwtween the two.

run the diagnostics on the router, see if it brings up anything

what ADSL modem are you connected to if any?

Well the thing is i can get it connected just disconnects every 30 minutes or so..

well thats a whole differant problem than what you first posted...

ok, i managed to get the internet on the PC downstairs... but i can only access Xfire & Limewire i cant access internet explorer..

install firefox and see, could be that port 80 is being blocked by firewall or that the application is blocked
