Bleh...I usually wake up at 6am (even earlier during the summer months), I don't have to start work until 10am, I live 15-20 mins bike ride away from work (depending on how windy/lazy I am) and I am ALWAYS 10-15 mins late for work. The first few times it happened I was really apologetic...then I realised nobody cared. Now being late is the norm for me. :/

My work ethic gets worse and worse with each job I do.

Yeah, nice idea, Big G. You could get hold of one of those big 'natural daylight' lamps for people with Seasonal Affective Disorder (something like this, maybe). Put that on a timer and you have comfortable 'spring day' light when you wake up on a cold, dark winter morning.

Any idea of how much they are or where to get them? I'm a big winter-grump.

For the younger than 20 amongst us, a Tea's maid was a kind of alarm-cum-tea making machine

Good lord, a machine that makes cum tea is enough to make anyone get out of bed, to vomit.

I just amused myself for five minutes by saying 'cum....tea...?!' in a Peter Kay 'cheese...cake !?' voice in my head.

my alarm is as far away as my bedroom will let it be (about three meters) :(
I can make it there and back without waking up. sometimes I'll remember turning it off, sometimes I won't :(:(

Put a line of pins en route to the alarm clock, the pain will surely waken you softly.

Just... don't do it.

It's not that hard to just force yourself up. Don't be a big girl! :p

pfft, the only ones who'd realise you're late for work would be the sheep trog. And they're more interested in the *ahem* fun aspect, from what i hear.

one more option is to ring your mum the night before and tell her what time you need to be up
then get her to call in teh morning

though i am thinking geting a timer for a light would be a more practical idea for when i actually get a job :p

Im the same way TDC. I blame late nights, too much computing, light evenings, not enough fitness and longer working hours (IT is shit). I cant get out of bed in the week, come the weekend im wide awake. Do I have 50 more years of this??

A friend of mine has one. I'll find out where he got it tomorrow. :)
