Right,

I am absolutely certain it must be possible to get hold of a keg of beer and tap it for fresh pints on the spot from the keg.

Seriously can someone help me out here because I really really want to set up a house party with one of them buggers in my livingroom!

Had a look to see what sort of prices they had.

Kronenbourg
11 Gallon Keg (88 Pints)
5.0% Alcohol
£120 + delivery, setup and tap hire

Thought that's not too bad for Kronenbourg although if I did this I'd probably go for somethingelse but still, it's a nice price gauge.

Then I noticed + £40 collection/delivery then another £40 for the cooling unit and tap.

£200 for 88pints is getting on for standard pub prices :( Although I guess if it's a big do you're having it wouldn't be as bad. And it's flat £40 delivery/collection so I guess as you buy more the cost of that goes down.

Guess it has its uses then. Why o' why do I have to think/type aloud all the time. Breasts. So ignore my statement of it being bad, it's not so bad for a big function but for a house party...depends on the size of your house I guess.

I'll stop now...

i love the fact that in american teen movies theres a keg party, and they have this one keg and like 60 people totally hammered. the average american high school dumbass gets hammered off 1.5 pints?

One of my best mates is a distributor for one of the small local breweries near me and will quite happily hook people up with a barrel or 2. He's normally got at least 2 set up when he has bbq's.
I'm not sure how far outside the leeds area they'll deliver for you tho...

Go straight to the brewery, you'll find it harder to get Kegs of lager than you will Ale.

The problem is re-filling them is a bastard.

And once a keg is tapped it has to be drunk within a few days.
