To be honest I'm a united fan and I'm not that arsed but the reason for getting rid of him...they don't like his lifestyle. It's a bit weird..anyway next season should be fun for united :D

I think it's because he doesn't like having football boots thrown at his head. Personally I wouldn't mind if I was on £50,000 a week.

beckham has done all that he can at Man Utd, if he wants to progress as a footballer he needs to move to a bigger club and see if he can still cut it playing with other top world class players, which in all fairness to Man Utd they haven't got.
and besides, who wouldn't want to earn £90,000 a week??

you're wrong as well.

Beckham's more than a football player, he's a marketing commodity. United have to recognise the potential value of selling him (ie about £35mill) vs what they will potentially lose by doing so. When x > y, then they take offers. Simple really. He doesn't particularly want to leave the club, and Fergie doesn't particularly want to sell him, but at the end of the day MUFC plc is a business so if it makes business sense, it will happen.

I think it would be bad selling him... i recall managers bitching their arses off because they didnt have enough "home grown" talented players around, and here they go selling probably *the* best home grown talent around from England.

Sure his oifestyle out of football is a bit "out of this world" i mean all he has to fuckin do is shave a strand of hair off his head and its a new "fashion"... :/

Im no Man Utd fan but it would be a shame to see him leave for just money-making purposes

I couldn't give a toss if/when he leaves. But the prospect of Ronaldinho in English football is orgasmic.

not if Real Madrid get their grubby mitts on him first.

It seems Sir Alex/Man Utd. plc are using their trademark tact and diplomacy on the Beckham rumours

I don't expect United to be effected too much by him leaving.
also
Ronaldinho said he will goto the team where beckham goes :/ and since Barcelona are the main rivals for his signature and the favoured destination (as far as united are concerned) means I'm not too confident we'll get him :(

I don't like the fact that fergie doesn't intend on buying another right-sided player though :s we needed one before beckham was going so when our only first-time (ignoring chadwick) right-winger(not that beckham was much of a winger :p) goes we'll be forced into the wierd formations that fergie seems to love now :|

Where did you hear that about Ronaldinho?

The United announcement was nothing more than a bit of manoeuvering to get the big boys (Real, Milan) involved. And guess what. It worked
