it could also of been FF screwing up, reporting incorrect speeds.

My internet couldn´t accept only having 2mbit once, in Dc++, and started to download a file 8 mb per second. Strange thing is, one of the files i downloaded with that speed worked, and the other didn´t.

77712 kB/s = 621696 kb/s = 75.890625 MB/s.

so just over 600 mbit.
So for that to be right you'll have to be connected thru a gigabit network adapter, to a gigabit network.

Moreso, the 76MB/s that's about the sustained speed of modern harddrives so I'm tempted to think that this was either another computer on your intranet (home network) if you have a gigabit switch there, and another computer with a gigabit network adapter, or that you spoofed it and connected to 127.0.0.1 and downloaded from there, from a different harddrive than your system drive.

I have a 10mbit line (so about 1 mb/sec max) but it has on occassion gone haywire and downloaded at more than double that.
