Beat matching / DJ'ing etc

Folks,

Was out at the local night club last night, tunes ahoy, but it got me thinking. I wanted to create a mix up for the car (mostly of RnB tunes) but I wanted it all mixed together like the DJs do, but that would involve using decks/records etc probably to do all the beat matching and getting the right speed for tracks to merge into one another.

My question is, is there a Winamp plugin or a piece of software that allows you to do this easily with mp3 tracks on the PC?

There is a software programme called Virtual DJ. It replicates using a set of decks with mp3s. It's not amazing, but have a practise with it and you can get some rough mixes down. They won't sound anything like anyone that can mix though.

If you want a cheap no nonesense mixer with a solid set set of features then use Goldwave :

You also need to get Lame for *.mp3 (extract into Goldwave Dir)

But if money isn't an option you could try what used to be Cool Edit Pro now Adobe Audition (plenty of others to try @ a pro level)

If our going to be mixing and moving anything at length it's best to have a decent amount of memory

best thing to do is to get a sense of music taste and stop listening to RnB - also www.mixmiester.com or www.mixmeister.com dunno how its spelt
