Available in your area! Now I just have to decide whether I want to disconnect from Bulldog for a month while they do a cease and reprovide.

Up to 24mb download and up to 1mb upload. £20 a month. I could be saving myself 10 quid a month on a superior product.

Forget it. They're fucking rubbish. I signed up months ago and I'm still not connected. They never answer the phone, take days to respond to an online CS ticket, and just blame BT for their problems, which may or may not be true, I just don't care anymore. I'm just cancelling my order now.

Yup, apparently they make bulldog look like they have ace customer service.

I'm probably going to upgrade to sky/easynet ADSL2+, they will probably offer sky over ADSL2+ after they take over homechoice.

That's what people said about Bulldog. I'm connected with a great 4mb connection :)
I have my eye on the adslguide forums though, I'm watching with a keen interest.

Am I right in thinking Easynet run UKOnline?

Might go with them; 8Mb. I could wait for Sky to get their act together I suppose, but I'm sick of my current crappy BT connection; its been rubbish for gaming for a while now.

They are supposed to be upgrading to ADSL2+ (24Mbits) this month, there are already a number of people trialing it.

You have to be within 300m of the exchange for ADSL2 iirc :)

you have to be within 300-500m to get the full 24Mb; it drops to about 18Mb within 1k than about 8Mb within 5k. The annoying thing about Be was that I am close to my exchange; I'd have easily got 18Mb, but the whole process has been a farce. I've cancelled now.

I'm looking at ukonline (easynet/sky) as hopefully they will offer a triple play service (broadband/sky/who cares about phone these days), the only thing that may stop me is if they get all medieval on filesharers on their network (which they may).

Bulldog, meh. I'm with they at the moment, but they make it very hard to upgrade. I'm still on 2Meg, which I pay £30 a month for, as they want me to disconnect/reconnect. I can't live without net access for a minimum of 2 weeks!
