was a very good programme, cant believe they caught 12 killer whales on camera hunting. First time an Orca hunt been captured on film apparently. And cant see I seen that many of them together at any one time before.
Funny thing was the seal outwitted them and survived. Zergers lost \o/

Was sad when watching the ickle penguins though, as they my fave animals :(

Cheetah brothers though were impressive, very daring and paid off.

May be good to get rid of flys, though may also attract more in :p

I used to have one in my office. They don't really like ham or cheese.

You can buy them from homebase, although probably not the best place to buy them. They cannot have tap water since the high mineral content will kill them. Must be rain water or RO water.

They need very moist soil 24/7 too, must always make sure they have water. I had 2 for about a year. They grew really well until I neglected them for a week..

did anyone see the thing on tv last night about orcas killing great white sharks? It was amazing, an orca killed a GW and all the other GWs in the area just flipping legged (or finned) it, turns out shark death is a massive shark repellant and sharks smelling one of their own kind dead will just vamoose.

Btw in this country we actually have carnivorous plants growing in the wild , one that I know of is the Sundew and acts like a pitcher plant drawing its victim in and then digesting it...nice! Also, quite reciently I saw pics of the largest carnivorous plant which can eat a rat...here ya go Botanists discover new rat-eating plant - CNN.com

And tbh imo you can't go wrong with David Attenborough, he just brings so much enthusiasm to his programmes that they are a pleasure to watch.

i like the plant on planetearth that captures loads of flies, so a spider decides to live in it and eat all the captured flies :)

found teh 2nd one to be a bit slow compared to the first one...
however the Komodo dragon scenes were interesting. That is one mean way to kill Buffolo, bite them then wait for weeks for them to slowly die from your weakish venom.

Cruel.. yet so damn effective. Especially when after one gets the bite the rest react like sharks to the smell of blood and suddenly wake up to follow the buffolo until it dies.
