Fucking awesome game and the gameplay is outrageous a few times now I've actually thought WTF? As I pull off moves that make Kratos look like a chump.

The funky music is great too and really starts off the game, a game that must be played.

Wasn't impressed with the demo. I actually think DMC4 is better and I didn't like DMC4 a lot (compared to 3 and 1).

There's a massive difference between the xbox/ps3 versions apparently.

I've played the demo and thought it was ace. Many reviewers (famitsu and edge includede) gave it a 10, and from what I've played, it's totally deserved.

I'm sure SSFIV gets 11/10 though :)

the 360 version. I've not played both, but check out the review sites.

My mate played the demo on both and tells me the PS3 version is total wank, really crap frame rates. He very much enjoyed the 360 version though - personally I think it's all a bit silly. Plus the advert really does my head in.

I think being silly and totally absurd is what gives the game it's charm it's very fucking camp lol

I've been playing it now for about 5 hours with a break for my tea and it's just really awesome I hated DMC and thought I'd hate this but i love it, here I was wondering yesterday why this game has had rave reviews now I know why.

At least give it a rent if you own a 360 don't
bother if you have a PS3 my gf bought it for that today as well and she said it's almost unplayable the framerate is that bad she took it back for a refund so now we are taking turns on the 360 :(

The PS3 version is in no way "unplayable". It doesn't run as well as the 360 one, quite far behind actually, but a game that stays well above 30fps is unplayable? What a joke!

It stuttered in fights on the PS3 version and it goes well below 30 at times. She isn't the sort of person who cares about framerate if you can't notice it 30+ fps is great but even she phoned me and asked why the game stutters when she is fighting.

When she came round she could tell the difference straight away between the two versions and she noticed thr 360 version barely has no load times at all you don't even have chance to practice on the load screen because the character doesn't even have chance to load!

I'm just saying, I played the demo and it's fine. The graphics are pretty much the only thing I wouldn't complain about. Everything else...

really? I thought it lacked inspiration. It has one of the most boring main characters I've ever seen.

Lacked inspiration? It is heavily inspired by God of War and is based on Dante's Divine fucking Comedy! How much more inspiration do you need?

sigh.

it's based on the poems yes, but dante isn't a badass - he's a fucking poet. All they've taken from the poems is the hell settings, and added some boring gameplay elements we've seen a thousand times before. The combat involves little skill or tactics, unlike Bayonetta.

oh, and the graphics are brown and boring. That's what I call uninspiring.

I'm sure GoW will be much better, and maybe even on the same level as Bayonetta.

So it turns out that you actually have no understanding of what "inspiration" means.

good job on quoting one sentence of my post, and ignoring the rest of it. I'm putting you on ignore, as I can't be arsed to discuss this with you anymore.

The rest of your post was drivel, which is why I didn't respond to it. Brown and boring? Seriously?

Have to agree, I loved it, really looking forward to the full release. The controls are a thing of beauty.

I'm really unimpressed by the bayonetta demo, I'm not sure why I love god of war and dmc, love ninja gaiden. This is my type of game. I'm going to give the demo more time and see if I can figure out what is putting me off.

Wot Ch3t sed tbh.

I got the demo on the ps3 and I'm largely indifferent to be honest. I bought my ps3 to play games like this, leave the fps on my uber PC where they belong. Nice idea, although the character designer seems to have a school mistress fetish, but it just doesn't move me.
Find myself button bashing a lot, which is precisely why I hate stuff like Street Fighter and Tekken.

It does seem very button-bashy compared to Devil May Cry, where that kind of play will get you killed. Apparently it gets better and more technical later on, but I'm not buying it just to find that out.

Ahah, it's this. Button bashing, that and the fact that you can hardly see your character half the time, so planning moves is hard. I hate random button mashing.

I just got it yesterday, beat the Twilight Cathedral. To be honest, the combat is quite bad.

BUT!

The puzzling and platforming? Story? Voice acting? The design? Fucking brilliant! I hope it stays this good.

I got both Darksiders and Bayonetta last Friday I have been playing Darksiders ever since I put it in, great game but since I've started on hard there is little reason for me to play it again so I would honestly say it's a very good game but there is no replay value.

Just finished Darksiders and what a game it was not once was I bored the game pace moved along just right, the bosses weren't too cheap or hard and judging by the ending roll on number 2.

Just clocked in at 20 hours which is pretty good for a single player game these days.

Brilliant game.
