Just saw the season finale What a great show this is! Just keeps getting better and better - love the gritty, dark, hopeless, realistic setting. So superior to the likes of Stargate and such mediocre shows. Also helps that they have some very talented actors.
That last episode was the fucking BOLLOCKS!!!!!! Best episode of pretty much anything i've seen for a long long time. The way it's so determined and the commander just turns to steel to pwn. ROAR!!!!
I read that Sky are showing the whole series without a break at Pegasus, so we see the end before the US. Originally Pegasus was shot as a 90 minuite episode but you'l only see it in the complete form if you buy the Season 2 DVD set.
Just seen the last episode, amazing. I had my doubts at the start of season 2, but now I'm hooked
Got a feeling there is more to Pegasus than meets the eye. Now either they are all cylons (excellent way to access the fleet) or a good way to inject new blood into the series? Either way something does not feel right about the Pegasus crew, alone all that time and appear in excellent condiction?
Don't forget, Galactica was an old Battlestar that was about to be decommisioned and the Vipers they are using are the old, old ones. The Pegasus is a newer Battlestar with newer Vipers.
Plus, the Pegasus has only had to look after themselves with no Cylons chasing them. Galactica has been guarding an entire fleet from Cylon pursuit.
so how come the cylon virus didnt effect them?, even if they had attacked after the inital strike there ships should have been stuck down by the virus the same way ashouldnt it?
That admiral seems a bit trigger happy, although the commander seemed to think it normal - until she decided to execute two of his crew. Maybe she is just a bit of a nutter having got the space madness, and her officers seem to be a bunch of *****. The producers definately want us to think pegasus=bad for whatever reason. I therefore think that they are good.
The start to the second half was alright I suppose and the end was about as much of a cliffhanger as the previous episode's. It is obvious it could have been better, but to the detriment of the series as a whole, which is fair enough I spose.
Still not quite sure whether Sci-Fi is allowed to be this good tbh...
I thought the new episode carried on the series tradition of crashing headlong into the details, exploring cause and effect rather than just 'inventing' some techy way out of any difficult situations (Voyager I'm looking at you). Adama could have gone toe to toe with Cain but, as mentioned, both ships would have been badly damaged and undoubtedly Helo and the Chief would have been killed. The way things played out was much more realistic, tense and infinitely more watchable.
lol - it is superb. Blends all the right elements together.
I'm cynically waiting to see how long the pegasus lasts. i.e. after the next episode I'm expecting it to be back to just galactica and the civilian ships. I suppose they might come up with some other misson for it, but the attack on the cylons just sounds like a way for the pegasus to go out in flames. Kamikaze attack on the rebirth ship perhaps?
