Battlegrounds Guide?

I've been away from DAOC for over a year. I'm now returning for a look-see on a freebie 15 day trial, and boy what a load of changes there are!

Can anyone point me in the direction of a guide to all the Battlegrounds changes. Specifically, how do I get into the lvl 37 battleground? I've tried the old battleground medalion with no luck.

you have to click teh gothi now instead of just sitting on the pad for hours if thats what you did i dunno

Also, make sure you have NF downloaded and installed.

I have to admit I did sit on the pad for a few minutes (not hours!) before I saw other ppl going up to the gothi, so I tried that with no luck.

I haven't downloaded New Frontiers though, so I'll do that. Thx

Yeh, that MIGHT be the problem. Should work fine when you get that installed.

Yeah, that did the trick, I got into the bg and got my ass kicked. Such fun.

But NF isn't really an "optional expansion pack" is it? Areas that used to be part of the standard game are now inaccessible without it.

NF isnt really an expansion, its more of a revamp of the RVR system in general, and therefore replaces the old system. New RAs, new maps, new seige and other elements.


Yes, its most definately not the old game anymore, and anyone returning after sucha period will wonder round saying "WTF!" a lot.
