Friend lent me this. Its so simple yet compulsive to watch. Not sure why I like it really but it had rave reviews.

Basically Japans gone a bit loopy against its children and lets one class fight to the death on an Island until one remains.

I'll be honest though, I get fed up of all the people who say it's 'AMAZING' simply because it's a good film. I thought it was good & original, but nothing which would make me get excited about.

Kinda compelling in a kind of "switch between it and the soft porn channel" way tho...

Yes its a cracking film, now go get Ichi The Killer.

The book is really good too, better than the film as its slightly different to the film and lots of things are explained which arent in the film, noticably some history of BR.

I think I must have missed the hype and hadn't even heard of it until this week.

I bought the DVD and thought it was good, although I think it's a bit cheesy in places (though the meaning may have been lost in the translation).

i totaly loved this film, deffitnly in my top 5
