Just watched the BBC Whistleblower expose on estate agents and even though I know estate agents can be pretty dodgy I was shocked to see the levels these people will goto just for the commission.

...it requires broadband but is well worth watching if you are thinking about getting into the property market or selling your existing property.

The part where the estate agent admits he undervalued the property of a 75yr old man by £60,000 just so he could rip him off really made my stomach turn, these people are just complete scum.

I know nothing about this subject, but I was told to bump this thread by chodax to make him think people actually care

But on a similar subject line its nothing new, people will always try and rip off the vulnerable to make money. Happens with door-to-door sales people selling gas/electricity all the time, almost got done myself once when some guy knocked on my door at uni, as a student I dont really know jack shit about electricity companies and the various prices, he introduced himself started vaguely explaining what he was offering me and before I knew it he was filling out forms and shoving them in my face, I was like what are you doing I haven't even agreed to anything yet.

On a quick inspection on the form he'd given me, he was trying to get me to swap power companies. Pissed me off and I told him no thanks and closed the door.

aye people are scum, though i have no fears about estate agents because the price of houses is totally beyond my reach, i think i could afford a wendy house from woolworths at this rate.
