Cambridge, hire the guildhall or the Corn Exchange.
Then get one of the many puter shops to lend me a PC (and anyone lese who's puter qualifies as being ****)
Also, there are good train links to here to, with only 2 chnages you can get from some place in sctoland who's name I can't pronounce or remember how to spell (sounds like Glass Go)
good pubs too
Hoo yeah that would be good. and maybe my non computery mates would stiop calling me "geek" for knowing where the on button is on everyones PC.
Beter than that, get both thge guildhal and Corn exchange. take more people.
Layout for Corn Exchage (for those who care)
On stage there is a HUGE screen (hired form a gullible sod know doubt) On which we show the games live. There's a large seating area above, where players waiting can go (maybe having booked a time to play)
and in the standing area we have everything else/
So that's decided then is it?

Speaking as one of the people who'll get the flak when the network dies periodically - note that I say "when" and not "if" - I'm dead set against the idea
On the other hand, if some other poor sap wants to take the blame, I'd be glad to play along.
Finally, Worcester's a damn fine proposed location, what with me being just up the road and all that. M5/M40/M42/M6 easy access. Scotland ? You got Rapture99, so STFU

As an organiser of LAN parties it shouldnt matter where the party is. I organised one in the north West and ended up with many players coming from Surrey !!!! If you are into Q2 LAN parties then distance is no object to travel to a good party.. mine is one of them
I'll be at Rapture99, wouldn't miss the chance of such a huge party and some of the best players in the world. Just hoping my TNT2 arrives in time for the event.
Will try and get a t-shirt made up as well for the occasion.
Regarding the BW LAN idea, I'd like to meet the regulars as well. Don't mind a 4-5 hour drive from Glasgow, might actually stay at wherever it is for the night cos the drive back is always dodgy after a whole weekend staying awake playing Q2.
