It does! BarryDial is up in test mode and I have to say it works a treat! Was able to play CS with lower ping for uninterupted hours, which is something I'm not used to at all. Particularly today with the BT probs.

Even browsing the Internet was far faster than I'm used to. Top 'nana.

St Andrews JANET is all very well, well, I'll say it WAS all very well, because as you no doubt know, Bodhi, St. A ITS have been doing things to it this year, and the wonderful multi-hundred k/sec speeds are no longer available the moment you move off the JANET backbone.

Oh well.

Aye, I noticed that. It seems a lot more picky this year about who it connects to. Still get multi hundred download speeds from BW FTP, some places in America, and various other networks, but to other places its shiat. St A's ITS are a bunch of incompetent buffoons, so they were probably trying to make it better but ended up unplugging something.

We have one of the ITS guys idle in our channel sometimes, not been in for a bit though.

However, I was getting 16k/sec off a guy uploading to me over the weekend, when it should have been, and last year it was, 75-80k/sec.

From what I heard earlier in the year, people were getting 30-oddk/sec off BW and only acheived half decent 250k/sec speeds when they downloaded off other lines on the JANET backbone.

However, who needs fast net speeds when you have the power of RESNET!

Resnet doesnt work properly on my machine. Looks like they broke that too. Port 21 is blocked on mine. Have emailed ITS about it. No reply as yet.

What hall of res you in by the way?
