So with the Bard changes what are the new group specs?

What sort of template does one need to consider?

I have one levelled and ML'ed and fancy having it ready to play when I get bored of soloing/as a backup for the guild.

I like 47 music, 44 nurt, 14 reg.. gives you all you need really

47 music is probably the best at lower RR but I far preferred lower music and higher regrowth specs myself.

When you've got some toys like Aug Dex and SoS then I preferred 43 nurt, 38 music 32 Reg - though that'd probably be 44n, 37 music, 32 reg these days due to AF and self mezz damp.

Given the nature of the grps we tend to run (minis, pugs) would prolly to go one of the higher regrowth specs as the decent heals would come in handy there.

If you're there to interrupt then you want lower music so you have access to lower aoe mezz. Only reason to go high music is for the larger area insta. Lower music is more effective as your power pool lasts longer. As there's no point speccing anything else other than regrowth you may as well make yourself a decent pinch healer. IMHO speccing 47 music is a waste for a 10 minute timered spell and if you need that to win mezz then you're screwed as a bard as your group will be hung out to dry the other 9mins and 59 secs it's down.

It needs to be decent enough to make up for the crap player learning how to drive.

Nowadays with root its possible to run 2 bards in groups and so you will want to have some healing ability. The slightly better mezz you get from high music is not worth the loss of a really good spec heal.

I'd agree on the spec - like anyone gives a damn.

CB at low rr if only bard isn't a bad plan - can ditch it as soon as you get purge 3 (and you'll be wanting that sharpish). It's a shite utill item though.

Its incredibly useful. Its an insta rez which doesn't require LoS. Bards don't get PR and a bard is much more likely to be pushed further forward than the druid.

If you aren't using Egg you do want to have something like AT. There are so many high util items these days you don't want to give up toys unless you really have too.

Yeah I can see the argument but AT was exactly what I was thinking of moving in there - either that or a resist item if there is one because I don't have MOH and will have to drop con and hits to get decent resists.

Same problem so I had to settle with EDS

TBH I use EP in neck and Egg in Jewel - which is why I ditch CB.

If you're small manning you want egg tbh. If you're in a fg you want egg too (maybe not quite as much if you're warden has it).
