Bard mana pool

Hi

I have been playing around with a Bard, and think he is Mr Gimpo.

Because he heals I put some points into piety, yet the secondary stats are empathy.

So what acts as the mana pool, and what "starting stats" should I go fo?

starting stats, choose a celt - 10cha, 10dex, 10 con. imo.

empathy is useless to a bard, charisma effects everything on them (afaik).

Manapool size is indeed determined by charisma. As about everything else in this game, charisma->mana suffers from diminishing returns, and if i recall correctly, at higher levels the mana gain is something like 1.2 points per point of charisma. So no biggie, if you didn't invest that extra 10 points into cha - in my humble opinion, of course.

(Charisma also affects the DD spell damage)

Heya Alb player

Forget PIE(ty), its not a stat used in Hibernia.

Hibernian clothcasters use intelligence (as their Albion counterparts, Middies use PIE there).

Naturalist use empathy as stat EXCEPT the bard, who uses ONLY charisma (like all singing classes)
