Even if the public vote for one person, if the colleges vote for another then they win or something crazy like that, i done it at school and cant remember now

I'm Glad Obama got in, cause the thought of Palin being anywhere near a red button is scary

I fear tho that it was a case of all the ethnics vote for the black man because he is black and not because of his policies

I'm glad Obama won.

I think McCain would've been GWB mark 2, I think Sarah Palin would've been up to no end of cloak and dagger bullshit 24/7 (if she isnt convicted and sent to prison for the bullshit she's already been pulling that is) and I think that overall we'd be in for many more years of same shit different day from the US.

I like how Obama comes over - he seems like he actually gives a damn about the rest of the world, its not just "GOD BLESS AMERICA *bursts into tears*" as so many of the previous presidents seem to have been, he even goes as far as to mention other countries in his speeches aside from the ones he wants to invade, which seems to me to be pretty exceptional for US politicians these days.

I like his policies on things like Iran and Afghanistan, and other things. There are some policies I disagree with, but I think there is the potential for Obama to accomplish real change for the better in the US.

I could just have been taken in by political spin, but I really dont think that's the case - I'm pretty hopeful tbh.

To be fair to McCain, despite being a republican he has shown himself to be a pretty decent human being. If that concession speech was in anyway sincere, and I got the impression that it was, he seems like a pretty stand up guy.

To be honest I'm glad Obama won but I'd bet McCain is a nicer bloke to sink a beer with. Obama just seems pure American schmaltz and a professional politician (in that he never really speaks his mind, only what he wants you to hear for the benefit of the campaign.)

This election stikes me as Blair in 1997 with the whole weight of american race issues thrown on top.

Oh and I'm glad Sarah Palin didn't get in cos she's mad. Despite this

Although Obama belongs to a fucking dumb-as-dogshit church too. What American politician doesn't?

most politicians dont write their own speeches! They've got speech-writers for that task :p

Yeah, but don't you think Bush´s speeches was a bit more obvious. Especially when he made some joke or reference that wasnt even the slightest funny but youd laugh at his clueless face expression.
