I just got the DVD set of The Band of Brothers, its Awesome.

For those who aint seen this I would totally reccomend it. If you like Saving Private Ryan then this is a must.

I sold my UK Tin version recently and got this one:

I actually bought 2 of these sets, one for keeps and one for eBay. The eBay one went for £158 last week!

Pfff. I saw this set and I just HAD to have it.

It cost me a mere £57 for each set (less than HMV are charging for the cardboard box set in the UK) so I felt it was my duty to buy it.


The fact that I made £100 profit on the spare I put on eBay was a bonus.

All the extra items shown are totally in English with the exeption of the red booklet which is in Korean but has loads of high quality photos.

It's a Limited Edition so will be out of print soon.

For those of you who dont have a surround setup, this box set is an excellent reason to invest in one, the soundtrack is absolutely brilliant, you feel like you're sat on the battlefield (it's almost as god as the Saving Private Ryan soundtrack).

Agreed. Currently rewatching my boxset now for the 2nd time. I'd definately rate it as the best TV series I have ever seen and one of the best war "films". Saving Private Ryan pales in comparison to it.

If you haven't bought it I highly recommend you do, watch it in the dark, max the volume and scare the shit out of yourself.

Yes. This is an important point. SPR is great only for the first 20 minutes and the bit where Hanks cries. BoB is consistently good and 'solid' throughout the whole series. A real journey,
