It's 2 episodes tonight, apparently the first episode is pretty dull, they decided to show the first 2 together so ppl wouldn't get bored and not watch the rest.

BBC coffed up a small fortune for the rights but now reckon, with a real war looming, ppl won't want to watch a gritty drama, hence the BBC2 showing.

The bloke who lives next door to me worked on it (he's some kind of freelance set designer/effects specialist) and he said it's pretty good stuff.

Watch it, if only to get your money's worth from the BBC.

My gf worked on making the props in the series, fake trees etc, filmed at Pinewood (or was i Elstress) studios in north london.

At least Spielberg knows other nations were involved in WW2, if Gibson had his way, Band of borothers would be soem Americans killing the English.

i have it on good authority that it sucks ass. one of my mates is a model maker and worked on the set. half way through filming spielberg wanted to cut the whole thing up and ditch it...

Yep. Great stuff. Off-putting to see Ross from Friends in there being thoroughly unconvincing, but thankfully he's not in the rest. Though something tells me he'll probably turn up again.

2. 2 it was made for american television
3. 3 it is told thru americans eyes so they probably do think they won the war

   there were AROUND 14 British that i saw in the film , i would of liked it if they had just added a few more mentons to the fact britain took part in the war , Also because Britain won air superioty operation sealion was indefinatly cancelled , America did play a large part in the war but they didnt singlehandidly push back the germans saving our asses from "eating fucking sourkraut"
