So after a little fond reminiscing, me and a friend have decided it would be fun to play through the whole Baldur's Gate series coop (I know, I know)

I remember there was a mod that let you start BG1 with all the character kits from BG2, but I can't for the life of me find it. Since we don't really want to be limited to the basic BG1 classes, anyone know of the mod I'm after?

Wasn't it just that spin off that they released on PS? Dark alliance or something?

The Baldur's gate series (Bg1 + tales of the sword coast, BG2 + throne of bhaal) are some of the best RPGs you'll find - anywhere. Plus you can play through the whole thing multiplayer :)

Even better, the whole lot is a tenner off Amazon

I find doing the challenges a lot more...err...challenging nowadays rather than just getting the 6 best npcs on easy mode.

Try a solo playthrough or a reduced party challenge on a higher difficulty etc.

Or even if your feeling brave, a no reload game :)

also, the high res mod is a must imo. cant remember the name of it though.

Still two of the top five games EVER released in my opinion.

Baldur's Gate Tutu lets you play BG1 in the BG2 engine, if that's what you're after? This includes all character kits etc.

EasyTutu is the better one for set up and install. Started playing through this myself last week, coincidentally after seeing a thread about it on overclockers.co.uk

Yeah I found easytutu from the links above, just what I was looking for :)
Will probably also use Darkest Day for BG2 as well, adds loads of nice stuff.

Going back to BG1 after having played ToB is always fun, mages with 4hp and only able to cast 1 spell before needing to sleep :p

baldurs gate is awesome but really not a coop game

its all about the story/characters which works badly in a multiplayer situation.

Personnally, I found the PS2 ones to be shit, compared to the real stuff that are the PC versions (Good games in their own, though, but they just don't hold up against the PC games)
If you haven't played them yet, buy the complete Baldur's gate. you won't regret it
