Yes it looks like the are bringing out the third one, possibley a prequal to the others and using a 3D engine(Yuck!). Not too much information about it yet but its in development (but i don't think Bioware are doing it tho)

As long as they don't crap it up and make it a concol game i'll be happy :)

Black Isle are dead, and how can they make a third!?

If you played the game you would know the final expansion ended the game just nice, seems more of a try to get as much cash out of the name as possable ala the Console versions.

NWN was a load of crap in the single player department, and the 3d interface was utter shite, i just hope they don't ruin one of the best cRPG series in history.

I loved playing NWN and its add-ons co-operatively with a m8.
Other than that, it was kinda shallow.. And it's impossible for a Baldurs Gate PC-game to be shallow otherwise it wouln't be a Baldurs Gate game (at least not a PC version), right?

So.. how about TES IV meets Baldurs Gate?

BG with the KOTOR graphics engine would rock! I loved the shiny metalic effect on armour and swords!

Not much hope for the game if it's not being done by Bioware though :\

I just think its different tastes
Baldurs gate had alot more Story and was alot bigger, also you have to remember that bg2 fans were waiting for nwn soo long that it was just a let down to not be on the same level in there minds

btw i'm a massive BG and planescape torment fan :p
I also liked NWN know (specialy the Underdark expansion)

The original Baldur's Gate remains my favourite ever computer RPG. Planescape Torment is *nearly* there, but not quite. BG 2 was ok... but just ok.

Neverwinter Nights completely failed to press any joy buttons for me sadly.

As said above, its different tastes.

I loved Baldurs Gate and especially Planescape: Torment. NWN was ok but just didn't really stand out for me.

Will be looking forward to BG3 if it is indeed in the making :)

Thats one quest i never completed :p

I got all of them at different points but think i sold the gold ones i got in BG1 :) and never carried the character on to BG2(i made a new one from scratch all the time)
I remember in ToB getting soo pissed off with that damm dwarf wanted i looked it up in the end and wasn't impressed with the answer...so thought sod it :)

None of the people i know completed that one either.

Tbh the NWN expansions are nice as far as solo playing was concerned. The official campaign that came with NWN was sooo boring, I havent even bothered to finish it all the way.

All BG games > anything (including daoc :p )

agreed, ive played them both more than twice, never made it past chapter 2 in original campaign. the fact that i played them more than twice is rather impressie as im more likely to quit a module rather than finish it

Never played Planescape myself though I've heard good things about it. Tbh I would just *KILL* for a Baldur's Gate-esque game in the Ravenloft campaign :D

Torment probably had the best story out of all the BG Series and NWN series.
The character interaction and creation was the best i've seen(still). Also has some cool voice actors :)
Theres soo meny litte bits in it that i missed the first time i played it through, for instance- Did you know that one of the Undead in the Dustmen morgue is someone that your character knows very well (A Blind archer)

Trying not to spoil it too much
