ironically, English teams intend to keep their foreign players dispite their piss-poor showing in the Finals; Veron, Vieira, Henry, Sorenson, Barthez, etc.

I regard such behaviour as an affront to Italian Pride and an offence to a Country which opened its doors to him
Thats pretty funny stuff! Did they expect him to punt the ball into row Z just because he plays club football for Italy?

I wonder, if Italy had lost to Brazil, would Inter have sacked Ronaldo?

Typical Italians really, have to blame anything except their own poor performance.

I think it boils down to the simple fact that Italy don't feel North Korea are a team that deserved to beat them. "These young upstarts" and all that. Had they lost to Brazil or suchlike, I'm sure there wouldn't be any of this furore.

However having said that, Ronaldo is arguably more valuable than this chap.

Yes, such is his brilliance that he is a better player despite sitting on the sick bench for four months

I'm closing this thread and asking people to post in the other similar thread, which is confusing as the only thing they are posting is to close that one :)

:)
