Ive been playing daoc for ages now, and havnt got any major lags at all. But now i cant play in NF for more then 10 mins before the game starts to give me 1fps. I havnt really changed specs or so, scanned for spyware and viruses but nothing, defragged both hdds but still the same horrible lag.
At first i thought it was becouse of the big zergs on classic servers, but i lag as much if im miles away the zerg or in the middle of the action. Changing to SI client with the worst res and graphic options doesnt do anything, still puts my fps to 1.
This has been going on for about 1 month, i cant recall doing anything dodgy back then other then installing the newest windows xp updates, including this crazy valification tool...
I ran a memory test to check if any of the memorymodules were broke, but after a good few hours of testing it gave me 0 errors.
I remember reading somewhere way back (around the launch of toa) that you could turn on (or off?) something in the gamefile about NT if im not mistaken, but i cant seem to find that post anymore... Anyone remember?
My specs are amd 2400xp, radeon 9500pro, 1gb ram. Got some budget to buy new parts, if i need to upgrade, what would be the first thing?
Any ideas what could be the problem?
