Well, bacon and eggs ain't that big around these parts, but eggs are used quite a bit, so have to answers eggs.

I do like bacon, but as meat produce go, it's not on the top three even.

EDIT: Also, usually those who wish to discuss issues, might want to say more then "discuss" in their statement :D

Picked bacon, for the sole reason I don't really like eggs on their own. (Even though I did drink a raw one recently.. o_O That was stupid. Lucky I didn't get too ill :D)

ANYWAY! Time to finish getting changed.

Well,

I was going to post a big thing first, but mostly I find that just narrows down the direction of the discussion a bit too much :) so I'll post it now!

Bacon or Egg? The ultimate battle!!!

Bacon
The main part of any british lad's diet almost as soon as he's on solids, rich in protein and fat, it has everything a growing lad needs!* Tastes good too! The main downside is its bad relationship with vegetarians, who dont like it :(

Bacon can be found in the breakfast battlefield in the infantry role, although sometimes supported with beans or toast, it is often found in the 'commando' role operating without any support at all!

*may not be true

Egg
Even though the pen pushers dont want you to 'start your day with an egg', it is still a good and major part of most breakfasts, and is even acceptable to some vegetarians!

It has a nice balance of protein (not as much per g as bacon), carbohydrates, iron, vitamins, and alot of other stuff thats on wikipedia that I cant spell.

Rarely found unsupported, eggs are the cavalry of the breakfast plate, riding to war in anything from low-tech toast to state of the art eggcups, it is usually backed up with either bread(soldiers), toast, or beans.

OR ofcourse you can just choose both like me :D

Actually, if you odn't get "mentally" sick about it, it's one of the healthiest things you can do.

Also, if you eat a whole egg(aslo perfectly healthy)/ drink an egg(if not that hardcore) before going out, alcohol will absorb slower as the egg forms a "skin" on the inside of your stomach. Alcohol passes slower, you can drink mroe, and not get wasted so fast.

Just remember that the alcohol amount doesn't change and your hangover isn't changed either :D

About bacon and eggs:

Like i said, finnish people don't eat bacon that much. It just never landed here so early that it would be "of any importance". Eggs on the other hand have been used for a long time and, well, you'd be suprised how many things you can create from it.

bacon by far, but i would have thought it would be better to do a "bacon or sausage" and a "egg or muffin" poll!

Opening titles to Dexter (Season 1)

Anyone watched the opening titles to Dexter (SE01) ?

Shows dexter eating bacon and eggs and washing it down with coffee. ALWAYS makes me yearn for bacon and eggs whenever I watch it - even if its on a full stomach !

Damn the power of television.

I'm not alone:

Oh no, it's just a precaution to not get "wasted". I'd be drinking the same amount regardless.

Though, bulgarian(or natural) yoghurt works like a charm aswell, and goes down a lot easier :D

Drink a few jacks(example), eat some bulgarian(not like THAT OD ), drink some more, eat some more. Ofcourse don't bring yoghurt to a pub/bar, they look at you funny.

Layer effect. Also helps, unlike Ze Egg, with the hangover as you get some dairy/nutrients in you.

both, and coffee!!

This kinda quirked my peepers.

Do english peeps drink coffe while eating? 'cause usually in Finland, coffe is drunk after the meal/breakfast/etc, with sometimes accompanied bun/cookie/whatnot.

Depends on the day.. Coffee in the morning, usually before eating. (Atleast, with people I know)

Never actually seen anyone I know eat when drinking coffee o_O

It depends really. In a fry up (English breakfast) then the toast is always, always the best part of it. If we are talking a cob, then you really do struggle to beat a bacon and egg cob, but the egg HAS to be done right. With the yolk all runny so it goes everywhere!

I'm not english, and I meant coffee after the meal itself, preferably with cookies :)
