Background/Soft Music

Been reading a little lately.... actually who am i kidding, been reading alot lately.

Trying to find the right kind of music in the background, tried Classic_FM which is really nice apart from the talking and adverts so I guess im looking for the same kind of thing, soft piano music ideally any tips ?

Actually real men don't read...

Depends what you want really...or what book it is.

Music sets your mood, adjusts your feelings, twists your imagination.

So if you're reading lotr, the lotr soundtrack would be apprpriate etc.

So listen to what YOU feel like.

I do sometimes, and read in the car which some people find weird (NOT when driving hehe)

But the best atmosphere for me is a nice quiet room with some classic/piano music on VERY VERY quiet, so quiet you can barely hear it.

M87 was created in 1995 by Huw Davies, inspirationally catalysed by a television documentary about Black Holes. Originally aiming to create music which expressed the strangeness and extremity of these elusive celestial objects, and as much aided by his extraordinary technical level as a guitar player as limited by his inexistent technical level on any other instrument, Davies spent over a year developing and perfecting notation, playing, and recording techniques which would enable him to produce an alien orchestral sound with nothing but his 13 guitars and a bit of recording equipment. As the musical concept expanded, the tirelessly prolific Davies recorded several hours of material (including a titanic 78-minute piece), samples of which were sent to a wide variety of record labels. Reactions were quite uniform in their incomprehension and disbelief, which resulted in a mixture of triumph and frustration, since no one seemed to know quite what to make of the music and therefore no one seemed to know quite whether to offer him a deal. In the Summer of 1997, however, Davies contacted Supernal Music following an advertisement in a mail order catalogue, where the label expressed interest in bands inspired by Astronomical, Astrophysical, and Cosmological subjects. Supernal Music's reaction was one of comprehension and disbelief, which resulted in a record deal. "Noctilucent Threnody" is the first of a planned ten albums, most of the material for which has already been recorded. The latter will not see the light under Supernal Music, however.

Thanks - I am rather proud of it, to be honest; it doesn't sound like any other guitar music ever made as far as I know. The last track on the album is a 19-minute piece that is still one of the best things I've ever written.
