I'm glad she refused your valentine, you eccentric gimp :/

The Matrix was a clever idea, but it was horrendously lacklustre in execution, it was only ever praised for its idea and then new technology ('bullet-time' and the frame-rotation thing), both of which are now ludicrously over-used & abused. The actors were all pretty badly suited, and all substandard; Keanu Reeves is a shit actor.

The Matrix 2 & 3 interest me not, the plot line is bloody silly and dilutes the original like water dilutes Ribena, as I recall.

Shame really.

I enjoyed the matrix because its one of those films where the plot "could" happen, such as blade runner, waterworld, terminator etc..

their all things that "could" happen in the future.. well im not meaning exactly but they are based on possible things that could happen..

i kinda like those sort of films..

matrix was good but nothing amazing

a much better more funny rendition is available here:

http://medusa.netron.com/~aumanetz/dl/dl/movies/computerboy.mov

now i must say i enjoyed certain parts of computer boy
just pure classic moments:)

i advise you broadband h0es to get it and give it a go... its not that long and its amusing...

especially if ya bored:)

Jurassic Park Triple-i was ghastly. As I told Sar, it lacks any sense of plot Starting, and Finishing. The end of the film arrived (when I went to see it in the cinema, no less!) and I felt I was cheated, because it just didn't feel like the plot had been explored at all. It was teetering on the edge of Dire, but I settled at Tedium; and Ghastly.

WaterWorld was worse than The Matrix, and its frightfully hard to imagine us - as an adapting race - not just amassing great cities on stilts.

better to get the proper die hard trilogy from the states - has all 3 movies in there. www.play247.com do a good deal on it i think.

JP3 ain't the greatest film but i liked it in parts and i brought it to make my Jurassic park trilogy complete :D Also brought fast and the furious (yes i know, shite plot - but the cars/stunts are excellent imo). :)

And matrix revisted i brought a while back - basically it's a lengthy documentry about the first matrix and then a insight into the next 2, and some other bit's and pieces. Only 12quid so what the hey. :)

oh and BTTF rules! :D

I bought the 2 disc set of the Matrix revisited, even though I bought the film back on its original release.

Worth buying IMO, cos it gives a detailed insight into the making of the first film. The story was originally conceived as a trilogy, so saying the next two will dilute the story ain't got any ground, cos atm we only know one-third of the story :)

And JP3 was better than the 2nd one, but still paled in comparison to the original. There will be a fourth film, probably out 2004 - yay... or something.

BTW:

Spiderman - May 3rd
Episode 2 AotC - May 10th

EXACTLY how me and Kenny felt. We saw it at the cinema, and it was reasonably good for a no brainer then suddenly, out of the blue, came the final credits. It was just like watching a very long trailer; you got to see the chase scenes and lots of people screaming, but they very very cunning in not giving away too much of the plot. Odd.

On a tangent, I've bought some sour Skittles and I swear some of them taste how men's urinals smell. I don't think I'm impressed.

i agree, the ending just came out of no where - seemed a little rushed. He started using that whistle thing to talk to the raptors and i thought hmmmm could get interesting! but wham - up turns the army and that was it!

Fight between T-rex and the other big one (name escapes me!) was cool tho :D

Pah. I've been on the London Underground and in lifts in Brighton. Mens Urinals can be smelt without even needing to go inside them.

Though I have been inside them. Female drunken curiosity will eventually drag every woman into a urinal. We can't understand

a) How you can go in those places drunk and not wretch from the smell

b) The whole bizarreness of men standing in a row with your tadgers out, nonchanently pissing.

Coming up next: Another Damini Tangent :-

I had a very religious friend once who believed that all fossils were planted by the FBI to disprove the existance of God. He got really angry about it all. Made me laugh alot.

I distinctly remember reading somewhere the "furore" over them inventing dino's for the sake of film, but the (rental) DVD version I saw a few weeks back didn't have the Documentary on for some reason. Wouldn't buy it anyway, cos there was no satisfying conclusion - Tea Leoni lived to the end damn it.

The french 'pissoirs' are long gone, but I can recall standing in one in Paris. Everyone walking past can see you from the chest up, and from the knees down. Standing in a line in a smelly english toilet is much better (this all relative of course).
