Can't say I am glad to be, indeed I wish I wasn't. That was just the most awesome experience I ever had in my life. In fact I have decided to emigrate. Chicago was just awesome and I still need about 2 more months before I even get to know a smidgeon of it properly.

Any one else had an experience of going home from a place that was just awesome and thought that it was a bad idea to go home?

Discuss it here ;)

Hay Dude Wheres Da Beach:p

Dam looks too cold there for me:(

Didn't get time to get to Lake Michigan. 4 days was just not long enough, and Lake Michigan was frozen. Cold? Heh, I got there and it was -20 C and on Saturday it was -25 C. Was alot warmer on Sunday etc, snow began to melt :) I came home yesterday and people in Liverpool were wearing wooly hats etc and moaning about how cold it was, I just laughed at them and told them to quit moaning. Here feels fucking roasting xD

I have spent 3 years working and travelling abroad in total, approx 200 locations in 24 countries and guess what, I always look forward to coming back to the UK. The grass is always greener etc but at the end of the day when you working your ass off paying bills it ain't that much different where you go in the western world it's all pretty much the same, there are of course some interesting end exciting differences but the novelty wears off....for me at least.

That's nice. But you see, I have my heart set on that place - ever since me and my ex-fiance split some 4 years ago. No, it's not some psychological clap trap issue that I have yet to deal with, that crap was dealt with years ago. But the dream still remains the same. I am glad you like it here in the UK. You have had a chance to spread your wings more than most would even dare dream of and for that consider yourself lucky man. Me, I am sticking to the plan as I am single and can think of doing this :)

Isn't it supposed to be very difficult to get a green card ?
I assume you'll need a green card to emigrate there.

But follow your dreams, dude. Life's short. Its a one-way ticket. Enjoy the journey as much as you can. And throw in as many cliches as often as possible. Remember, its the early bird that catches the worm !
