looks like she was getting something out of her pocket..half a second of innatention :/ I thought platforms were angled AWAY from the tracks for exactly this reason, anyway?

I think you should keep one eye on the stroller at that kind of place non-stop, and if you don't, point it away from the killer-tracks.

I doubt she will be asking for anything from you.

Child services are stretched to the core trying to prevent real children in harms way. This was an accident one of about a million that happen on a day to day basis with children falling over, banging there heads or actually just hurting themselves because they have no fear.

The mother made a mistake like every other parent out ther does at some time or another, and she almost lost the most important thing in her life, something SHE not you would have hd to live with. Fortunately no harm was done other than the fact the child is probably going to be over protected for the rest of his growing life.

You are fucking clueless, you don't comment on something you have zero understanding.

Yeah, it's completely understandable to let your baby, in a carriage, get run over by a train.

Gee, i stand corrected, that's some top notch child care right there.

Guess you're going to say "you need a child to understand that letting it run under a train is understandable and it just happens".

Doesn't mean one f*ck all what she almost lost, doesn't take away the fact that she made a mistake that almost cost a kids life. those kind of mistakes are NOT acceptable by any standard.

No I am not going to say that, I anwered it above with people make mistakes, no normal person would put there child in that situation on purpose, she switched off for 2 seconds. Wreckless my soft white arse, you're a fucking tool.

You can let your concentration wander from the pram in some safe location, but 2 second roll away from a train track is NOT the place.

That's reckless, end of.

What are you on about? F*cking low anyway...

TdC i'm done anyway, just dno't particularly like being called a retard for not agreeing with Calaen.

Sorry :(

Kinda back on topic, I think the problem is Toh you actually think people that don't know you care about your view, saying child services needs to be seeing her shows us that you have no understanding regardless of whether you have a child or not.

The cost of a mistake is the price you pay, in this childs instance it was a bruised head. Why should that mother be punished? The answer is simple she should not be, as already mentioned children have accidents all day everyday.

The hilarious thing is you judging a parent, I guess you never had any accidents when you were a child.

If i did or not is irrelevant(my parents didn't let me get under a train for one), much like kids having accidents is irrelevant as this was not a kid having an accident.

Sure, the cost could've been a dead child, and now was just a bruised one, but it doesn't absolve you from being punished for letting kids get in harms way. If a parent let a kid run around freely in a train station and the kid jumped infront of a moving train, would you think it was just an accident or would you take a look at the parent too? Part of being a parent is to protect them and especially if a kid is still in a stroller, you should be extra vigilant and ESPECIALLY in high risk areas such as a train station.

And FYI; I don't think that people should care for my view, but just like you, i'm entitled to say them on a public forum. You seem to think i actually expect you to care about it, which you seem to do as you always so vigorously fight over each comment i make.

Mistakes happen, of every magnitude. If you can't appreciate that you have a broken world view.

It's not broken, may be different from your view, but not any more broken then yours.

There's a limit to understanding and acceptable mistakes. One that almost cost a helpless kids life? I'm not on the good side.

Every environment is high risk where a young child is concerned, no execptions, this does not mean that people are immune from taking their eye off the ball for a split second. You can't keep up the levels required 100% of the time.

Regardless of any other wild view you might hold, it's the fact you expected child services to do something about it. Who are they to tell a parent what to do in that situation? Asked the same question she will tell you the parent should have been payng attention. That slip on her behlaf does not require investigation, to think it does is why I have a problem with what you said.

Lets start punishing people for what could have happened instead of what actually happened. I have never read such a stupid comment (and I have typed a fwe out myself).

Every environm*snip*out myself).

So you over-reacted to the child services comment, fair enough.

I never claimed; "Lets start punishing people for what could have happened instead of what actually happened.", you said that, i never implied it. My point has been that all and any possible lacks in parenting should be investigated.

If she agrees on "Asked the same question she will tell you the parent should have been payng attention.", then she would agree with me. Not good parenting.

And i don't agree, some areas need more attention then others. Train platforms should be one of the high 100% observation cases.

I didn't over react, I elaborated as you yourself asked for.

Lack in parenting??? What like a lad under 15 having sex with a same aged girl? like a teenager under age smoking? Like a child being disrespectful? You caould argue everything a naughty child does falls under that.

If she agrees on "Asked the same question she will tell you the parent should have been payng attention.", then she would agree with me. Not good parenting.

No she would not, because someone making a mistake does not make them a bad parent.

It was clearly an accident, a momentary lapse of concentration as it's already been said. Personally, I'm sure the mother has had all the punishment she will ever need, as what she must have been thinking when her child was under the train must have been horrifying. I'm sure in the future the baby/pram will be tied to her hand for ever more...
